Chapter Seventeen: The Sword of Ice and Demon
Lord Ghirahim
       Kimmy and friends
were once again greeted by the blinding dawn of a new day. âUgh,â complained
greenluigi as he slowly got up from his unimpressive bed of autumn leaves in
the Knight Academyâs courtyard. Then, he picked up his pocket knife and
continued walking on his way up the steps of the academy. âIâve got to master
my skills with Gaepora,â he thought to himself. âIf Kimmy can brush up on her
element-bending skills, why canât I practice on what I excel at?â Then, he
sharpened his knife with a rough rock he picked up on his way. âSword
fighting.â Meanwhile, the ever powerful-growing Mr. Zed was whipping away at
tiles of cinder blocks located within a horseâs stable in an unknown World. His
training proved to be valuable; his long, black tail was nearly as tough as
leather, and could easily bash up any enemy that dared to pick a fight.
Everyone found it kind of amusing that the XZH Hackâs âarmyâ wasnât even aware
about the pieces locked within them. Their ignorance was probably a good thing;
if they knew they were part of an army, theyâd be much more fired up.
Matthew2321âs electrical capabilities surpassed the limit by far. He was
nearing his goal of becoming the worldâs most powerful PokĂ©mon. As for A user
of this, his troop of Pikmin friends was flourishing, and so was his
confidence. He practiced day and night at his aim and strength while throwing
the Pikmin at select targets. DenzGamer135, along with Kimmy, was training with
his friends and trainer. His fire-bending skills were improving. The
silver-haired woman, Eniitan, continued on her travels pursuing her goal of
restoring peace at any given occasion. NintendoFanKimmy herself spent all
morning trying to calm down her odd-acting Meganium, Chiko. âEasy, boy, easy,â
she kept reassuring it while trying to gesture it to stop jumping up and down
in the hotel room. âYouâre acting fishy again. This isnât the first time youâve
been like this⊠You were tensed up a couple of days ago, too. Whatâs eating
you?â Chiko neither listened nor responded, but he kept emitting his cry and
jumping up and down uneasily. Then, worried of it getting too agitated, Kimmy
clicked on the button at the center of the ball capsule, and the nervous
PokĂ©mon was pulled back in. Kimmy sighed. âThatâs something Iâll have to look
into later. For now, Iâd better focus on the matter at hand.â She put on her
shoes and headed out of the hotel. Then, she was sent crashing to the ground by
her fast-moving trainer. âOuch,â she complained. Then, her head turned up to
get a look at who she bumped into, hoping it would be that dashing, blond,
blue-eyed Clifton guy again. âMaster?â Then, he pulled his knocked down student
to her feet. âIâm dreadfully sorry, Kimmy,â her trainer apologized, looking
rather anxious. âBut the element-bending tournament is cancelled. So are all of
your future sessions.â NintendoFanKimmyâs eyes grew wide. âW-what? Why?â Then,
she could have sworn she caught a glimpse of an ever so slight tear trickling
down her masterâs old, worried face. âThe dojo,â he trembled, âis destroyed.â Then,
Kimmy jumped. âWhat? Who would do such a thing?â Then, he dabbed his eye with
his long, yellow sleeve. âI donât know. But, until further notice, you donât
have anything to attend to anymore. Iâm sorryâŠâ Then, he walked away, with a
devastated face. NintendoFanKimmy felt incredibly sorry for him; she knew how
much that dojo, along with the business meant to him. âIâll avenge it, Master,â
she vowed. âIâll track down whoever did this⊠No doubt, itâs probably some
villain form another World. Apparently, Aang already killed all antagonists in
this one.â Then, she thought about herself for a while. The loss of the
training service was definitely not going to her any good. How else could she
prepare? âThen again,â she thought. âI probably already have it all.â Then,
matters only got worse. She lost her hotel room; the rent was overdue, and she
hadnât a single penny in her pocket. She grabbed the PokĂ©ball, her only
belonging, and sulked away to the fountain at the center of the town. She sat
down at the edge. âHeh, heh,â she chuckled. âKind of reminds of Vizzed⊠when
green and I were planning the escape on the last night we would have before
this whole mess beganâŠâ Then, she began reconsidering leaving in the first
place. Why did they even leave? Did they seriously believe they had a chance
against XZH? Then, she went over to more positive side. âWe did beat Shao Kahn,
after all,â she said hopefully. âWith the Sylveon User lent us.â They had also
defeated Antasma, the Bat King, who Jerry had shot at the last second. Also,
they busted up the Titan Dweevil and saved Louie. Perhaps they werenât so
pathetic, after all. All they needed was friends. And help. The only problem
was â what now? âAll of my friends are gone,â she mumbled. âI guess I have to
go to the next World, then. Hopefully, Iâll find a villain with an XZH piece
left. We only destroyed one,â she remembered green stabbing it with his pocket
knife back at the purple-hazed Mario World. Then, she shook her head. âLess
thinking, more doing. We have to go.â She plopped Chiko in her jacketâs pocket
and started moving towards the sunset and the âwall of Jell-Oâ. Just then, she
felt a familiar hand grab her left shoulder from behind. Then, she heard a
familiar voice. âKimmy! Wait! Donât leave! Not yet⊠I know you have something
important to take care of, and we may never cross paths again, but⊠I want to
show you something special.â She turned around. It was just as she suspected.
Clifton Smith. âClifton!â she exclaimed, surprised at herself for forgetting
about him. He cracked that warm smile again; the smile that made his pearly,
white teeth shine. âCome with me. One last nightâŠâ Kimmy smiled. âOkay,
Clifton.â Then, she followed the gentleman into the deep, dark woods. The sun
had set, and the big, glowing moon was rising. âKimmy,â he began. âIf there was
any way I could say goodbye to you, this would be it. Iâve heard the moon is
going to be at its most beautiful tonight. I would love to see it with youâŠâ
Then, NintendoFanKimmyâs grin grew wider. âThanks, Clifton.â Then, they sat on
the verge of a grassy cliff with the best view imaginable. Kimmy felt a tear
well up in her left eye. This would be a memorable night. Saying goodbye would
be so painful. But it was the right thing to do. Clifton tightened his grip on
Kimmyâs hand. âIsnât it enchanting?â he commented. âYes,â Kimmy replied. After
staring at the beautifully glowing white ball above them, it was almost as if
she had fallen into a trance. The moon was so big, and so beautiful that night.
The starry sky was breathtaking, but the moonâs beauty made the other shining
stars dwarf in comparison. It was almost like a clever distraction someone
would use for a trap. It was so mind-taking that she didnât even feel Cliftonâs
hand slip out of hers. She didnât even hear the sound of his disguiseâs zipper
sliding down. She didnât even see that Clifton was not Clifton. She didnât even
hear the rough rock sending sparks from Cliftonâs long, black pirate sword.
Then, she heard a twig behind her go snap. She bolted up instantly. Then, she
turned to her right. âClifton?â she asked in concern. âClifton, where are you?â
She got up and turned around. A tall, white-haired, egotistical-looking figure
stood before her. He was wearing a white, diamond-themed unitard, a pair of
white gloves, a golden, red gem-bearing belt, and a tall-collared red cape. He
let out an evil-sounding snicker and smiled infamously. âUh,â Kimmy was
confused. âWho the hell are you?â Then, his snicker grew to an evil laugh that
made NintendoFanKimmy frown. âWhat is it? Whatâs so funny? Did you do anything
to the blond that was sitting right next to me?â Finally, the tall figure
talked surprisingly calmly. âSo, you still havenât figured it out, eh? Was the
moon that entrancing?â Then, the Vizzed citizen thought about the situation for
a second. âThat must be it!â she concluded. âYou killed him!â Then, the man
face-palmed. âHa, ha, you really arenât the brightest one around, are you?â
This enraged Kimmy; her fist nearly caught fire like when her trainer refused
to let her join the group because of missing out on her first lesson. âTell me
where he is! Now!â Then, the mysterious figure seemed to have lost him
amusement. âNow, youâre just toying with me, right?â he asked, not believing
how dumb Kimmy was acting. âHeâs standing right in front of you, you fool!â
NintendoFanKimmy took into account what he might have been saying, but decided
he didnât mean it that way. âI donât see himâŠâ Intimidated by his cunning death
stare, she decided to quickly say something else. âWhatâs your name, anyway?â
Then, the amused smile returned to the manâs face. It wasnât very reassuring,
however. âI go by many names. Itâs Ghirahim for the most part, though. Demon
Lord Ghirahim. During many disguises I have strategically gone through to
dispose of my opponents, though, I have been known by other names. Including
Clifton Smith.â Then, Kimmy nearly collapsed, and her entire world was turned
upside-down. She dropped to her knees and clutched the soil. She shed a few
tears and trembled. âC-Clifton Smith⊠N-never existed? Lovely, dashing, blond,
blue-eyed Clifton? It canât be! It canât be!â She started to cry, but her
sadness quickly mixed with anger â a dangerous combination for anyone nearby. âWhy
would you?â she said threateningly, walking towards Ghirahim. Then, her whole
body caught fire, and her hair and jacket were blowing fast. She yelled and
charged to her opponent with an iron-hot blazing fist at the ready. The Demon
Lord simply caught it and the flame blew out almost instantly. Then, he
tightened his grip on her hand. âFoolish child. I could break your hand in a
mere number of seconds. Thatâs my strategy, you see. Depression can tear apart
you opponent, making them much easier to deal with. Iâve decided to get you
attached to a person who never existed.â Kimmy thought that was such a
monstrous thing to do. âWhy me?â she asked, swiftly breaking free from his
grasp. âWhat have I ever done to you?â Ghirahim chuckled again. âNothing
personal. I was thought to be dead after my master, Demise, was driven to his
knees by that brat, Link. I survived, though. Then, I met up with your cousin.â
NintendoFanKimmy nearly gasped. âG-greenluigi?â He nodded. âYes. He gave me
quite an impressive beating back at the Zelda World. Iâve decided to abandon
him where we were fighting. I guessed this would be a fun way to pay the little
sucker back.â Kimmy ignored the comment and charged at him again, this time
summoning grand mountains on her way. Ghirahim just bolted out his fist, which
shattered the fast-moving mountains upon contact. This power surprised Kimmy.
She knew at that point that she was no match for this guy. âI surrender,â she
decided smartly, before it would be late. âOh ho,â he laughed. âI donât think
so. This isnât some power-tester or something. This is revenge.â
NintendoFanKimmy swallowed. Then, she returned to her battle stance. âIn that
case,â she began. âIâm not going down without putting up a fight.â Then, Demon
Lord Ghirahim unsheathed his sword. âEn garde.â Kimmyâs element tricks werenât
bery useful, as her opponent seemed to be either immune or able to stop all of
them. For defense? That was a different story. After a few moments of running
and hiding, NintendoFanKimmy was cornered against a large oak tree near where
she was watching the moon. âThink fast,â she thought to herself. Then, the
Demon Lordâs sword was aiming straight for Kimmy, and her reflex left her
astonished. She had summoned a small swirl of water from the lake nearby, and
it froze almost instantly. The ice Kimmy had formed was so strong that it
disarmed Ghirahim. She ran for the sword, but was stopped by his punch to the
face. Soon, he had his sword once again, and looked at Kimmy suspiciously. âYou
wretched brat!â He ran to her with dazzling speed, but her water-to-ice reflex
happened again, leaving the Demon Lord shocked. âWhat are you, child?â Kimmy
smiled. âOh, no one special. Iâm just the second Avatar.â Ghirahim nearly
dropped his sword. He wanted to think she was lying, but after putting
everything together, it made perfect sense. Her fist caught fire when she
thought he killed âCliftonâ, she summoned large, rocky mountains while charging
at him at the beginning of the battle, and she froze water when she defended
herself. All that she didnât use was air. Even so, being able to control three
elements was enough to tell the tale. Even two. A normal bender would only be
able to control one. Nevertheless, he couldnât lose to this brat, even if she
was the second living Avatar. The enemy yelled and ran towards NintendoFanKimmy
once again, this time making sure he wouldnât miss. Kimmy summoned a swirl of
water once again, and froze it into a sword instead. âWhoa!â Kimmy said in
amazement. âIâm not good at wielding swords or direct combat, but having one
can really help!â Then, she continued to quickly block his attacks. âIf I donât
switch to offense soon,â she thought to herself. âIâm toast.â Then, she
summoned all her courage and might and thrust the sword of ice towards her
opponent. âPathetic,â mocked Ghirahim, who dodged it with ease. âTry to dodge
this.â He disarmed Kimmy, and swiftly picked up her sword of ice. âHeh, quite
the sword you have there. If you donât mind, Iâll be testing it now.â Then, he
slashed the sword towards NintendoFanKimmy, defenseless and cornered. She shut
her eyes tight and tensed up, bracing herself for the impact, but⊠nothing
happened. All she heard was a clatter. âHuh?â she opened up one eye. âGreen!â
Her blond cousin stood in front of her holding a foot-long blade with a
scorching red blaze circling it, and a dead serious look in his eye. âSurrender,â
he threatened. âOr die.â Ghirahim was suddenly enraged, and he began slashing
like crazy at greenluigi, who blocked and dodged his attacks easily. âYou! Youâre
that mouthy kid I met at the Zelda World! Iâm not letting you get away with
this!â Then, green smirked. There was something different about him that Kimmy
noticed. Was green actually being⊠serious? For once in his life, he proved to
be a ruthless warrior, and he had finally become a master swordfighter. Within
the span of five minutes, the Demon Lord was on his trembling knees; a sword to
his neck. âDonât you dare.â Then, green dared. âDemon! You wonât ever threaten
another innocent life ever again!â Then, he performed the final blow, and
Ghirahim evaporated into a cloud of purple haze. âT-that haze!â stuttered
Kimmy, getting up. âDoesnât it mean a piece of XZH was inside him.â Without
saying a word, greenluigi walked up to the piece and shattered it with a
powerful blow from his sword. Shortly after, more purple haze evaporated from
the piece as well. Green sheathed his sword. His cousin also noticed a large,
red shield hanging from his back, bearing a blue infinity logo at the center
with green aura circling it. Then, he began to walk away, still with a serious
face. He had matured over the given time. âWait!â Kimmy called, running up to
him. She gave him a big hug and smiled. âWhere are you going?â Green didnât
smile. âForward.â She still wondered why he was like this. âWhatâs with you,
green?â Then, he got angry. âWhat do you mean, âwhatâs wrong with youâ? Iâve
become more mature now, unlike you. Anyone can change, Kimmy. After you
discovered your dumb element tricks, I decided to go and prove to you that my
power is equal to yours. Youâre not better than me, or Matt, or User, or Zed,
or anyone else. We all have potential, too, you know!â Greenluigi was right. NintendoFanKimmy
backed off. âWhoa, whoa, whoa, I never said that! I just got confident, thatâs
all!â The blond raised an eyebrow. Then, Kimmy sighed. âSorry. I may have
gotten a little carried away. But I do think your powers are just as strong as mine.â
Then, afraid that he would walk away again, she shoved her hands into her jeansâ
pockets, sulked, and started to walk away. âHey, hold on a second!â greenluigi
called. âI want a fight.â Kimmy couldnât believe her ears. She turned around. âWhat?â
Green walked closer. âYou heard me.â Then, he unsheathed his sword once again. âRight
here.â He frowned. âRight now.â

her eyes tight and tensed up, bracing herself for the impact, but⊠nothing
