Sunday, Flappy bird has been removed from the app stores and there's no intention of bringing it back due to controversy. Because of this, phones with the game installed are worth at least $1000. Prices skyrocketed for high demand for flappy bird. What's your thought on this?

Something is only worth what someone will pay for it.  I'll be you would be hard pressed to find many people willing to play this much for a game, especially since the game play ideas the game has are out there and will undoubtedly show up in other games now.

I downloaded it a few days ago, and spent like 5 mins playing it before I deleted it(For Android). There's a million of those "fly and try to survive" games out there on the net...not quite sure why someone would pay that much money for that game. Go to newgrounds...there's like a million of the same exact game to play FOR FREE.

Also, I would like to point out that the game is still available for download on Google Play store.

A lot of the people on this site seem to have some crazy notions as to what happened. He isn't getting sued and the sprites have nothing to do with it.

His issue just seems to be that the game just became too popular and he was getting asked to do interviews and all sorts of crazy stuff that he really wasn't expecting for such a simple game. Sounds like he didn't like the attention and all of that.

Not only that, he's still going to make money on it from ad revenue and whatnot.
