At what point in your life did you start playing minecraft? Why did you decide to start playing?
I started playing the free version about a year and a half ago, and I started playing on a friends account about 3/4 of a year ago

Quite a few years ago I played the demo of one of the alpha's. I really didn't like it then since I didn't really understand it and then it was very basic.
Later on in life, about 3 years ago My friend introduced me into Minecraft again. I would of played it earlier since he mention it to me and I said it was crap but once I did try it again I loved it so much.
I can even remember which seed he made me try it on. It was called "Antville" and boy it looked amazing. It is a shame that you wont get the same result on this current minecraft and I was never told which version it was so I couldn't download older versions of minecraft.

About 3 years ago, i played the free version, and i simply fell in love. I played that game every day for about 7 hours at a time. I heard about the free version from a friend, and i was elated because i thought you had to buy Minecraft to play it.

About 2 years ago, a couple of years after discovering the internet, I came across Youtube videos of mine craft, by Yoshi To Mario. I instantly fell in love with it! As soon as I could, I bought it (It was around $15-20 dollars at the time) and became hooked. Ever since, I have loved this game and always will!

I've got Minecraft back during Beta 1.7 (So I started playing around July 2011), and I have been playing Minecraft until April 2012 when some reason, I've lost interest in Minecraft, but then July 2013, I have started regaining interest to the game once again because I have been seeing pictures and videos of creations others have made and I figure I might as well start playing it once again, I have been playing Minecraft since then and planning on playing for quite awhile.

Hmm, I think I started playing in the summer sometime? Perhaps it was early in the school year, I honestly can't remember. I do remember, though, that I got into it because play4fun wanted to do a tournament regarding Minecraft, and I was interested. I spent 40k Viz on an account, and I haven't played it for probably a couple months now. :/ I've been too busy to do everything I want to do.

I started playing sometime in February of 2011 during Beta 1.3.My uncle showed me Minecraft and I started playing it having a good time,little did I know that Minecraft was soon to be a huge game that almost everyone knows.I lost interest as soon as it went out of beta,and then all the people flooded the Minecraft community soon after.

I'll be honest, I was a late comer to the game.  I had downloaded a demo a couple of years ago, but I really didn't get into it at the time.  Then, when the hard copy version came out for the Xbox 360, I took the plunge, figuring that when my twin boys get a little older, its something that they can play.  When it arrived, I decided to pop it into the console for a few minutes just to play through the tutorial, but next thing I knew, I had blown an entire afternoon.  I ended up playing the game obsessively for the next couple of weeks before putting it away again.  Since then, it has found its way back into my xbox a couple more times, each time, it gets played pretty heavily for about a week before I move on to something else again.

I blame my interest in the game on my love of building things.  (I have a 35gallon tub of LEGO that I still drag out regularly)  I can easily spend an entire day doing nothing but building something, be it with LEGO, Lincoln Logs, or even in Minecraft on creative.

I've spent quite a bit of time in survival mode, but I actually prefer to play in creative.  And when I have a friend over who will play co-op, all the better!!

Ninth grade, back in beta. Good old 1.7.3 .

I started playing in 2012, the demo version. my brother told me about it, and i started playing. And then I just couldn't stop. Minecraft is the best game in history of games.

I am pretty new to the game. I only knew about its existence when I slept around my cousins for a few nights and we played it together. That was about two years ago and I still find it entertaining.

I first started playing Minecraft when I was in 7th grade. Everyone in school was illegaly downloading the game, and I figured I'd join in. 20 minutes and 1 crappy dirt house later, I was hooked.

I started playing Classic in about January 2011 and thought it was pure genius. Less than a month later, my friend who introduced me to Minecraft let me play on his beta account (version 1.3) and I was hooked. I bought the game on sale for myself right when beta 1.6 came out so I could do multiplayer. So I was one of the earlier people to start playing.

Less than a year ago my curiosity finally got the better of me and I played the demo for the first time. I liked the game and kept playing offline in version 1.5.2 since at the time you could do that without an account. Maybe four months ago I started using my cousins account so I could play version 1.7.2 (newest release at the time). Thinking of upgrading to my own account some time, use a screen name I actually go by like Cressela or Chindogu.

I think it was about 8 months ago? I bought an account from another member here on Vizzed because I was curious as to why it was so popular, and had a lot of fun trolling the monsters on my world. Then, recently, I bought it for the PS3 and can now play with cousins. It's a fun game, but not something that I usually plan to play.

I first started with the PC version, and moved into PS3. I've also played the App Store version, and a little in the XBOX 360 version. I think my fav is the PS3, but PC is really great as well. I like the PS3 because it's more convenient, and because I'm more comfortable with the controls.

My husband has always been a super gamer, so it was probably him that introduced me to it sometime over this past year.  I had heard of it and seen it before... but I had also only heard the negative opinions.  ("It's boring. You just break boxes." )  I guess my curiosity grew as I heard more people talking about it, then watched my husband play it for a few moments.  He was exploring a small cave and that's when I thought "Oooh, you know.. I could really get into this."  (I'm a sucker for exploration)

Then he got it for me.
And I became addicted. XD  It's by far the computer game I play the most, now. haha

Ever since 2010 i have been playing minecraft. Those were some fun times during the older versions.

I had Minecraft for a couple of years now, but I really started getting into it a few months ago when I began to watch the Minecraft series of my favorite youtuber and I have been active in Minecraft ever since then.

I got into Minecraft about a year and a half ago, but I lost interest after a year and I am going to sell it for some Viz to Lazlo Falconi.
