I recently ate at a Chinese restaurant and have suffered frequent stomach pains for the past three days. It's not food poisoning, but something was messed up with the meal.

Yes.....it wasn't very pleasant it gave me a bug the made me sick for weeks. And made me end up in the hospital for more weeks.

food poison is not good to have, so always make sure the food you eat is good quality and looks good quality before you eat it. Or you will end up with the tummy ache... or it can be expired food you get it from. You can never know these days with food.

Oh yes several times. If I eat fish I will get sick. But concerning a restaurant one time I ate at this Mexican restaurant because I like Mexican food. I got so sick a few hours later it was not even funny. My theory is that I got some beef that was not cooked properly or it had been setting out.

Yes I have... It is not a fun time. In fact, for a while it is pretty miserable actually. Make SURE you drink LOTS of water, keep yourself hydrated, and even if you really don't want to, make sure you eat at least a little of GOOD, EASY ON THE STOMACH, HEALTHY FOODS. Also, I highly recommend adding peppers (especially spicy ones) into your diet. They are FULL of antioxidants, vitamins, and lots of other amazing stuff for you! I hope you feel better soon!

If it is still bothering you, I would do as jrjj2u says because staying hydrated is always important and also eating a little bit every day will help as well. Hopefully this helps you if you are still feeling this way.

That's why I'm now a little hesitant about chinese and mexican food, especially after the incidents at taco bell and other chinese restaurants. 

American restaurants have better sanitation from experience, but it's still a risk. I guess the best food is home prepared food.

I am not sure. When I was twelve I was on a trip to Cyprus and there I ate lamb at restaurants every day and lamb is not something I was used to eating let alone every day. Anywho, I was fine during the trip no problem but when I got home suddenly in the middle of a school day I had to go to the bathroom really bad in the middle of the day. I spare you the details but my stomach was in such a mess I doubt it has been like so ever afterwards. Some kind of weird postponed culture shock or something. Or maybe it had nothing to do with my diet or with the trip but that's what my mother blamed it on. First eating lamb for a week and then going back to Finnish school food.

I never went to a doctor, was home for two days and was fine.

Me and my friend both ordered two double cheeseburgers, they mixed up the order and we ended up getting 8 double cheeseburgers. I don't really know what caused it because when I thought about it, there were many different possibilities, but i personally believed it was the Cookie Dough donut that I ate from Dunkin Donuts. It was my 2nd time ever having cookie dough and I think my stomach wasn't used to it maybe.
