I could watch many different genres, preferring comedy and action shounen anime like Gintama or One Piece, but regarding the genre, I usually don't watch anime that:
  • ...is centered mainly about romance...
  • ... or harem...
  • ... or has ridiculously much ecchi in it.

However, romance, ecchi or harem can be fine by me too, as long as it's not the primary genre or sometimes if it's really that interesting that I could see over it.

The only anime genre I dislike is Ecchi/fanservice/harem anime. It's the one I have the most trouble getting into, and I really just don't like them at all. They just seem there just to please people, not get them into a true anime.

I really don't like fan service. The reason I don't like fan service is simple, it just blocks the progress in the anime. One perfect example is Kill la Kill, the first season was good, but the second season was full of fans service. When an important moment happens, every 20 seconds a female character is showing off her body parts. You know what I mean.
