I chew a few pieces every week, usually. This week it's been a few pieces a day and I'm starting to get addicted to the chewing. I would have kept chewing had I not looked up what happens when addicted to chewing gum. So, I've only had two pieces today :x Yes, I know. I'm struggling and haven't been able to completely stop. 

So what about you? How often do you chew gum?

Im actually very addicted to gum I usually chew about 3-4 pieces a day. A lot fo the time I end up giving it away. My ideal choice of gum would probably be 5 Gum Cobalt. I dont really have any fruit flavoured ones mint seems to be my ideal choice.

When I was in School I used to chew gum a lot especially before tests. Having Autism right before I would take a test I would get nervous. So chewing gum allowed me to relax and I usually did good on my exams. I also chewed gum to help with the sensory issues. Sometimes school was a nightmare for me, the lighting fixtures and all the noise. Now since I graduated college. I do not chew gum as much. In fact, I haven't chewed gum in a while since my graduation.  Blessings

And guys, I've decided to quit gum cold turkey. There are some possibly carcinogenic substances like BHT and I've decided it's just not worth the risk. 

I don't think I'll be chewing it in the near future, but if I do, it's going to be natural gum that doesn't have all the disgusting chemicals.

To be honest I can't really chew gum that much anymore because I have a pair of invisalign braces which are basically like regular braces but they are clear and you can take them. They come in sets of trays and after 2 weeks I move onto the next tray until my teeth are shaped to what the final result should look like. Even though they come off, I have to keep them on as much as possible for them to do their job, so I only take them off when I am eating. Even still before I had these braces I didn't have gum all day 24/7 like some of the annoying kids at school chomping on it like cows. I only had it if it was offered to me. Good question by the way.

I was basically addicted to gum. Now, I find out that there's all these weird ingredients added in that are unhealthy and some possibly carcinogenic. 

I have been using them at an average 1 a day for concentration, but that's only because I bought three packs the day before I researched and read the article about them =P
