Middle school was okay, but I enjoyed High school better. High school was great for me because I had awesome friends, excellent teachers. I thought high school was kind of were I learned independence skills. For example, in High school I drove so that was like Independence for me.

I enjoyed middle school more, it seemed like there was less homework and the kids weren't so very mean then. Or maybe it's the other way around because all kids are mean.. I liked high school but I hated it also to the point that I switched to homeschooling.

Well, I hated middle school, there wasn't much you could do at that age, and there were very few people who actually shared interests with me. So far high school has been significantly better, but there are drawbacks to being in high school. There's an increased level of responsibility, but yet there are many things that you are still unable to do until you are "of age" that cause it to feel non-worthwhile. There are also a great many people that are just plain awful, and will treat you like crap if you don't like everything they like (the mainstream). So far, high school has been decent, at best, and all I can hope for is that it will improve, but I'm not counting on it.

Middle school was terrible. It's a really awkward stage of growth and social pressures run high. Conformity is a big theme, and it seems like individuality is stamped out. It always seemed like you had to have a girlfriend to be popular. High school is much better, however. I no longer feel the need to conform and feel that it's unnecessary, The academics are more engaging, the teachers have more life, and the classes are more strict. It''s great.

I would probably say high school because of what epic san said, it is an awkward time when you are going through puberty and then there is drama and all havoc breaks out. It is the beginning stages of strange social situations and the beginning of peer pressure really starts to kick in. I didn't really like it all that much, throw in that my middle school was a complete dump and the food sucked, I hardly enjoyed it at all. High school is still full of drama, but at least the academics are better, the food is better, the teachers are more strict and they seem to care more than in middle school. I mainly just hate the drama, but mainly I think it was a much better experience than middle school, at east for me anyway.

I've enjoyed high school much more than middle school.
There's obviously the greater freedom to roam on campus during free periods and more buildings. There's more freedom about leaving school during free periods and accessories you can wear.
At my school, there's also more schedule variety and rotations in high school, so everyone is doing there own thing (much different from the highly restricted schedules in middle school, where a few teachers bring students to lunch and back and otherwise you're mostly in one large building).
Of course, more maturity (usually) makes hanging out with friends much more chill while middle school hanging out was discussing popularity and making sex jokes trying to act cool. It was in high school that I learned there's no use caring about what other's think about stupid things, like social status.
In agreement with epic-san, Middle school is rooted in uniformity and conformity while high school is about the expression of individualism.
Of course, there's much more work, extra-curriculars, and time required, but it's definitely worth it.
I had an enjoyable experience with both, so that has made all my years of school fun.

Well, I have not yet experienced the high-school phase, so I will have to go with middle school. It is a load of work, though :. I mean, if this is what middle school had to offer, I dread high-school!

I did like Middle school. It was carefree, easy, and fun. Most of the classes were great, informative, and didn't give too much homework.
I'm still liking High school, though obviously for different reasons. I learn ten times more here than I ever did in Middle School, and this is the first time where art hasn't focused on collages. High school obviously gives homework in spades, but I don't find it horrible, since it's really only if you didn't get it done in class...

I like middle school some because of the freedom I get and we get to work on homework in class and we get a whole period entitled to finishing homework you do not get done. I do not like it because of how weird and annoying some kids are like asking are teacher to draw batman in the middle of class. Oh and I could not forget the time they started making paper hats.

No. It is just way too much for me. Will all of the ap classes that require so much and afterschool sports, it really isn't easy to keep up with it all, so I really don't like it all that much.
