I've played Minecraft, Lego Lord of the Rings, and World of Warcraft each for over 8 hours in one sitting. I've known from my friends that there are some incredible records for binge gaming. What about you? What's the longest time you've played games in one sitting?

I once played an RPG for about 26 hours straight, before getting up to get food/drink etc. It was Final Fantasy X.

I played another 18 hours that "sitting" and finished that playthrough of Final Fantasy X in 44 hours.

I don't know what my speed record is, it's faster than that, but I did beat Final Fantasy X in effectively 2 "sittings", even though I didn't sleep between them. I just grabbed food and water, because 44 hours is a long time to go without.

To be honest, I had not timed my longest playing time throughout one "sitting," but I am certain enough to know it had been greater than twenty-four hours. That video game I had played for that amount of time had been Call of Duty: Black Ops Two because I do not own a lifetime. Haha!

I've played Super Mario 3D Land, for like, 14-16 hours. Both Special World and Normal Worlds. The game is that short and piss easy. I wasn't amused when I finished it 100%.

Now, if you don't know what a visual novel or Katawa Shoujo is, a visual novel is pretty much "Choose Your Own Adventure" in electronic form. Visual novels are often describes as Interactive Fiction featuring text over stills of various types of graphics, usually in the anime style. I don't really want to go into anymore detail, so if you want more information, check out the Wikipedia page on it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visual_novel And I can't really go into too much detail on what Katawa Shoujo is, since it's got content that really isn't friendly for Vizzed, but I can say this: It's not what it looks like if you think what it looks like is questionable or sketchy. I was a huge Age of Empires fan as a teenager, AOE 3 had just came out and I remember playing that game for 17 hours straight, I got up and I actually fell over trying to get out of the chair from being dizzy. I try not to do that too much.

While in Hospital from an eye infection, the only source of entertainment that I could enjoy was the Gamecube. I would spend most of the day playing Mario Kart Double Dash or Wind Waker. It was a while ago so I am not sure quite how long I would spend but it was most of sunlight.

More recently I spent 7 hours playing the first Half-Life in one sitting. It isn't quite as stunning as Leggy's 26 hour marathon but it did make going outside later that day feel very strange.

I'm pretty sure the longest I've played is around 8 hours once for WWE 13 and around 10 hours for Mass Effect 3. I haven't done it for about a year or so and I don't think I will again. I was so tired afterwards, but it was fun.

That kind of depends. If taking meal breaks or whatnot counts as not strait hours, then maybe 12-15 hours. I have played a game more than that in one day, but I took half hour breaks here and there to do stuff like make my meals or some chore that needed doing. I played a game for 10+ hours before besides getting up and bringing a snack or something. I played a few games on Vizzed, some on the Wii, and one on the 3DS. My friend also came over for 3 hours so it made it extra fun for me. I am one of those hardcore gamers by the way.
