I've played Minecraft, Lego Lord of the Rings, and World of Warcraft each for over 8 hours in one sitting. I've known from my friends that there are some incredible records for binge gaming. What about you? What's the longest time you've played games in one sitting?

I once played an RPG for about 26 hours straight, before getting up to get food/drink etc. It was Final Fantasy X.

I played another 18 hours that "sitting" and finished that playthrough of Final Fantasy X in 44 hours.

I don't know what my speed record is, it's faster than that, but I did beat Final Fantasy X in effectively 2 "sittings", even though I didn't sleep between them. I just grabbed food and water, because 44 hours is a long time to go without.

To be honest, I had not timed my longest playing time throughout one "sitting," but I am certain enough to know it had been greater than twenty-four hours. That video game I had played for that amount of time had been Call of Duty: Black Ops Two because I do not own a lifetime. Haha!

I had a pretty impressive constitution and resilience when I was a kid. It was also winter vacation, so I had nothing better to do than sit in my house and play video games. No homework, no school, no friends, so yeah.

I am also an insomniac and have been for several years, so staying awake is hardly an issue for me, then or now.

I will say though, that by the end, I had no idea what was going on, I was sleep deprived. I'd known the story already so it's not like I had no idea what I was missing or anything. I'd beaten the game a couple times before. I slept like a log following the completion of the game

I've played Super Mario 3D Land, for like, 14-16 hours. Both Special World and Normal Worlds. The game is that short and piss easy. I wasn't amused when I finished it 100%.

The longest I've played anything was a visual novel named Katawa Shoujo. I did one of the routes for... I think it was 9 hours. Now, if you don't know what a visual novel or Katawa Shoujo is, a visual novel is pretty much "Choose Your Own Adventure" in electronic form. Visual novels are often describes as Interactive Fiction featuring text over stills of various types of graphics, usually in the anime style. I don't really want to go into anymore detail, so if you want more information, check out the Wikipedia page on it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visual_novel And I can't really go into too much detail on what Katawa Shoujo is, since it's got content that really isn't friendly for Vizzed, but I can say this: It's not what it looks like if you think what it looks like is questionable or sketchy. Go look it up, because I'm not sure if I can post links to the site. (And yes, visual novels are classifiable as video games.)

I was a huge Age of Empires fan as a teenager, AOE 3 had just came out and I remember playing that game for 17 hours straight, I got up and I actually fell over trying to get out of the chair from being dizzy. I try not to do that too much.

The longest I have played a game in one setting was Halo 2 for 7 hours with a bunch of buddies of mine.

I used to play Maplestory a lot when it was good and actually fun to play.I once played all day and stopped playing when I realized it was 4 in the morning and I have been playing since 12.So 16 hours was the longest.

While in Hospital from an eye infection, the only source of entertainment that I could enjoy was the Gamecube. I would spend most of the day playing Mario Kart Double Dash or Wind Waker. It was a while ago so I am not sure quite how long I would spend but it was most of sunlight.

More recently I spent 7 hours playing the first Half-Life in one sitting. It isn't quite as stunning as Leggy's 26 hour marathon but it did make going outside later that day feel very strange.

I'm pretty sure the longest I've played is around 8 hours once for WWE 13 and around 10 hours for Mass Effect 3. I haven't done it for about a year or so and I don't think I will again. I was so tired afterwards, but it was fun.

That kind of depends. If taking meal breaks or whatnot counts as not strait hours, then maybe 12-15 hours. I have played a game more than that in one day, but I took half hour breaks here and there to do stuff like make my meals or some chore that needed doing. If those don't count, then a bit over 24 hours.

I played minecraft with a friend for 6 hours once.  I've probably played other games (Like skyrim) for longer, but I don't know to be exact.

When I was 9 I played Super Mario Sunshine for almost 12 hours. Pretty sure I only made it halfway through the game. One of the longer games I've played.

I played a game for 10+ hours before besides getting up and bringing a snack or something. I played a few games on Vizzed, some on the Wii, and one on the 3DS. My friend also came over for 3 hours so it made it extra fun for me. I am one of those hardcore gamers by the way.

If taking a food break is permitted, then somewhere between twelve and fifteen hours. If not, then maybe five or six. I used to be crazy addicted to games, and would literally play from the time I woke up (I played while I was eating breakfast) until I went to bed in the early morning hours. I was a kid with a secluded life, so time had no meaning to me.

The longest time I have played a video game in one sitting was a few months ago when I stayed up playing The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for seven or eight hours XD!

Well I've put so much time into games I don't know where to start. . . But I've played Team Fortress 2 for like 2 Hours Straight, I guess I'm not like everyone else who plays up to 7 hours! But I do remember getting Pokemon games and playing them up to like 5 - 9 hours straight in one day, and the would put me up to half way through the game straight away! Also I remember completing Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs in like 5 hours, it was really short and I just got the game finished it.

I mean who doesn't play a game for at least a couple of hours! ?
