Someone can just barf on you if they wanted without rules. People can stab you or something as well. I think you got a lesson to learn. Not to be mean or anything.

Yeah, this is kind of pointless and you are just complaining and this is the kind of stuff that starts up spam for the TDV, so I'm glad this was requested to be closed because this isn't needed. 

Rules are important otherwise things would go out of control and there would be no control over things and no way to keep things in check, so they are important to follow. And by the way, this isn't the kind of thing you want to post on a site like this. Bottom line, rules are very important and it is best to follow them. That's all I 've gotta say. 

No Rules= Fun (in a immature person's mind) but if there werent rules....people would do stupid and illegal things and certainly you wont like thee idea after a while. Trust me..i thought the same but people will regret not having rules...it keeps this world in balance (and vizzed).

I don't know that this is spammy.  It is the whole basis of Anarchism, where there are no major rules set up by a governing body.  There is no legislation and people just do what they do.

Without rules, we wouldn't have the internet.  We wouldn't have organized sports and life would be, to quote Thomas Hobbes, "poor, nasty, brutish, and short."  Rules allow us to function as a society and allows us to survive and work together to achieve a high quality of life.  Think of countries where rules don't matter.  I think of Guatemala, Somalia, Rwanda, and other places where people are murdered, raped, have all their possessions taken without any recourse.  

Rules keep us safe and rules keep things functioning.  Without them, life would be terrible.  Rules also set standards for how to act and allow us to understand what is and what is not acceptable.  Even great philosophers say rules are important, even if they also challenge us to constant evaluate the rules we follow.

And who the heck are you to call for a thread to be closed?  That isn't a decision for just any old person on here.  Let the folks in charge decide what is and what is not a spammy thread.

This is great conversation to challenge people.  Turn it from spam into something worth discussing.  I challenge someone to give me a rule that should be done away with and we'll talk it out.  Anything from a school rule to international law.

Honestly dude, that's no reason to commit suicide. rules are needed. without rules, there would be total chaos. The only reason we aren't all dead is because we have laws.

If you think about it, you only have freedom because there are rules. You wouldn't have the freedom to go outside if everyone was allowed to loot and kill other people without consequences. Clearly, freedom is ensured through rules and rather than anarchy being complete freedom, it would be complete lack of freedoms.

Brigand : I 100% agree with you.  Of course it doesn't.  The kid that posted it is probably 12 and anarchism is a difficult concept to understand. But there's a conversation with deeper meaning in there somewhere.  I'm trying to bring out the debate in people here.
