I actually go very infrequently. It usually caps out at 6 times a year. Well, I consider that infrequent, since that's only about 1.6% of the number of days in a year. I still enjoy going to the movie theater though, it is really a joy to see some great movies on a gigantic screen. There are a few problems though. The snacks are ridiculously overpriced. There are always extremely tall people in front of me. I cannot go enough. There is always a feeling of emptiness after every movie ends.

Normally I will only go once a month at the most and it will be because they are offering me to go. There may be sometimes where I choose to go because I really want to watch a movie but movie theaters don't attract me the way they used to when I was younger. I guess the thrill of 3D HQ movies faded away.

So far, I had gone to the movies 4 times this month, and I plan on going to see Transformers the day it comes out, which also happens to be this month I believe. I think going to the movies 5 times in a month is going to be some kind of a record for me, and I have now gone to the movies perhaps 20 or more times this year so far, very close to my record for movies in a year.

When I was in the Army, I would go every Friday and watch the new movies that came out that week with some friends. I remember one time, we had to get up super early, because there were 4 movies we wanted to see in 1 day, since we had missed the previous week's movies, since we were in the field that weekend.

I almost never go to the movie theater. I hate movies. I don't like just sitting and staring at a screen for 2 hours. I prefer activities that actually involve doing things, such as playing sports or playing video games or even reading. At least reading actually involves some kind of activity other than just staring. Not to mention that I would much rather watch a movie in the comfort of my own home. That way I can pause it if I want to, eat whatever I want, not have to worry about how germ ridden movie theaters are, and not have to worry about how I look or if I am wearing decent clothes. So to answer your question, I rarely ever go to the movie theater, unless it is a movie that I REALLY want to see.
