My favorite song from a TV show is from the Big Bang Theory when Wolowitz sings to Bernadette in a recent episode.

This one song is just one of the reasons I love Big Bang Theory so much. It can be funny, sad, happy, nerdy and feel-good at the same time. On the other hand, it's such a great song that I've listened to it dozens of times. It's made me think about how great songs could be on other television shows.

Which leads me to my question, what is your favorite song from a TV show? 

Since not all shows have such music with the characters singing, it can be background music too if nothing else comes to mind. But really I'm looking for an actual performance within the episode.

I'm really into all of the soundtracks from the shows I watch, but lately Wayward Son by Kansas, which is used for the Supernatural finales, is one of my favorites. (Which is partially because it has lyrics, and they aren't in a foreign language, so I can sing along without sounding like an idiot.)

As cheesy as they may be, I love most of the songs from Buffy the Vampire Slayer's musical episode: "Once More With Feeling." I bought the soundtrack to the episode when it came out and love listening to it, especially "Going Through The Motions", "Walk Through The Fire" and "Where Do We Go From Here?"

I also love Royal Wood's "Do You Recall" which was playing in the background of Being Humans 2nd episode of season one. "Can You Save Me" by Flint Eastwood is another favourite TV show song. It was used as the theme song for Covert Affairs for the first 3 seasons.

I am going to have to change my mind on this one. Forget the Freinds them song, my song is the main song from Futurama. The BBT theme is more fun and catchy but the Dr.Who theme is more.."cooler". I honestly don't know how you describe a theme like that but I just enjoy it.

When I watch Person of Interest, the notorious theme plays at the beginning and when a commercial is about to play. It's one of those themes that makes you think "Stuff is about to happen" or "Things are getting tense". It's a very good theme and I like when it starts, because it means the episode is getting good.
