So I'm not really big into coffee, but every now and then, I do get a hankering for it. However, growing up in a household where it wasn't a common beverage, I always feel like I'm 'doing it wrong'.  This has always led me to wonder how far off base... or how crazy... I truly am..

If you don't drink your coffee black, how much creamer do you use?  For me, coffee is a strong flavor, so I have to drown it out.  I typically fill my cup anywhere from 25%-40% with creamer.  :/  I do try to stick to the lower end, but still.... I have to wonder if I'm just ruining coffee's effect.  lol

You are if you're using creamer at all. For me, I always have my coffee black with some sugar, never any cream.

My friend likes to fill up with 50% cream on his cup, so I can only guess that it's a person's personal choice with it.

I drink coffee nearly every morning and I make sure it's strong enough, I don't like my coffee to light, then yeah, basically drinking dark water, but when I brew my coffee. I generally put 3 teaspoon sugar and 2 teaspoon of powder creamer and it taste great to me like that.

I have 3/4 coffee, 1/4 milk, and 4 packets of splenda.

I guess I like it sweet.  But since I'm the only coffee drinker in my family I have no one to compare to.  But that is the formula I follow every single time I have coffee.  Though I must say I won't drink watery coffee it has to be deep dark!

Very interesting thread, I never thought about this. I'm not a very big coffee person either but I end up smothering my coffee in creamer when I do drink it.. I don't know if I just don't like coffee in general or if that makes the flavor taste better. I feel like you can put what you want.. if it tastes good, that's all that matters!

I don't take anything with coffee.  I'm a straight, black, trucker sludge coffee kind of guy.  The other foofoo items add calories and weaken the heavy, rich flavor of the coffee beans for me. 

No thank you.  Fire it up, keep it hot, it should pour like old car oil and go down nice and thick.  I experimented with sugars, splenda, creamers, amaretto and other add ons and I simply can't do it like that.

I also hate the taste of coffee, the only way I'll eat it is at least 30% creamer and tons of whip cream or sugar or milk. I can't stand the taste of black coffee. My parents say that's weird, because apparently I used to keep stealing theirs when I was a baby. I can't imagine why, it tastes terrible.

If it's the flavored liquid creamer(flavor doesn't matter), I reverse your ratio & put in 25% - 40% coffee the rest creamer. I sometimes even forgo the coffee in favor of just drinking the creamer if I really like it. There's this flavor called Vanilla Heat made by International Delight that's really good. It has a nice vanilla flavor until you swallow it. That's when the heat kicks in. It only bothers the back of your throat & it only lasts a few seconds but I really like it.

I like sweat stuff .. plus coffee tastes ... well it tastes like something an adult would do .. tastes boring . So I whenever I drink coffee it is 45 % - 50% creamer .. and the rest is coffee .
