Yeah my friends collect things as well, whether it is seashells or video games, they do collect something. Most of my friends collect video games though. I can say that about a good 3 or 4 of my friends that I know of collect something. There are probably a lot more though, but those are just the few that I know of that I am actually friends with. Most of them collect video games like me though. So it all works out in the end.

I only have one friend who actually collects stuff. He has hundreds of Star Wars figures in his collection, quite a few comics and hundreds of wrestling autographs. He's the type of collector that if a figure is released in Canada and the States with different packaging, he'll have to get both if he can. 

The only other people who I know that I can call collector's are my brother and sisters. My brother and myself both collect pretty much the same things, so we always go figure and comic hunting together.

I actually have a friend who is a very hardcore collector of both DC and Marvel comic's. He has stacks of sealed comic's in boxes inside his closet. If I can remember correctly he had about 26 boxes, might have added an box or two. It's been a while since I went over to his crib.

The majority of people I know, especially when it comes to video games, simply trade them in for the next new, mainstream game. Sometimes they will keep one or two games, but that is very rare.
