Ok so I have never played a xbox before but I will have one on Christmas. I brought ff13-2, blue dragon, skyrim, fonza 3, assassins creed 3 and COD ghost. I was going to get Xbox live as well but I thought I should get a weeks practice under my belt first.
So does anybody have any tips for the games or 360 in general?

P.S. It is a 360 250GB preowned with a two year warranty and the whole lot came in 4 pence shy of two hundred pound.

Get the Batman: Arkham Trilogy, get Halo 3 and 4, Injustice: Gods Among Us (if you like fighters), Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Trilogy, Fallout 3 (one of my favorite games of all time), Dragon Age: Origins (another favorite), Shadow Complex (download only),Bioshock dual pack... Dark Souls... annnndddd I can't think of any more. Hope this helps

I would get the Halo games, The Arkham trilogy, GTA V, and possibly the Mass Effect trilogy if needed. That will help you out.

If you like sports games, I also recommend NBA 2K14 and Madden 25.

Can't really think of any gaming tips. Skyrim's a fun game, but it can take a really long time to beat if you do all of the side missions. And I, like many other's, find that Skyrim does freeze quite a bit...just warning you. And yeah, I would practice and get used to the controller before you get a gold membership, but gold is great and it's a lot of fun playing online. The Mass Effect trilogy is a personal fave of mine, and you might enjoy it too. Have fun!

Here are some tips on the games you have...

In Call of Duty Ghosts you have got to be tactical when online. The health has been reduced from previous Call of Duty games and is a lot less than what you get in the campaign so you will have to watch out for that. Don't just run out and kill especially if you have commen guns, stay back and run out when you think is safe. When you get a mask man's rifle, purchase the 3 bullet burst mod and now if you manage to get all 3 of the bullets on target (it is really easy) you have yourself a kill.

As for Forza 3. The fastest car in the game is the Nissan datsun. Of course at first it is crap and one of the slowest cars in the game but when you upgrade it to its full power when it is in the R3 class and it can reach 240 MPH. This car is pretty much only good for drag racing online though because in a regular race it will just flip over or spin around when you turn. 
As for the driving itself, I recommend not breaking at the yellow line but waiting until it goes red. That is if you have a car with decent breaking. Doing this will help you overtake the computers and people online who play with automatic braking on.

For me Blue Dragon was a bit of a let down. Yes it is a Square Enix RPG but you are much better off getting one of the Final Fantasy Games, they are more enjoyable than Blue Dragon.

Dude, YES. Buy the Mass Effect series. Don't even think twice about it, buy the entire series, without a second thought. It's brilliant. The first and second Mass Effect games are some of the best games I've ever played, and regardless of what so many people say about Mass Effect 3, that game was still good.

But anyway, what I would advise you, is to get good at muting people, especially in multiplayer games like Call of Duty. The reason I stopped playing Call of Duty online is because there are just some outrageous idiots who can't take it when you beat them and just pick fights with you. MUTE ALL TEH THINGS! Seriously, it's for the best.

Sell it and get a PS3, they have more exclusives, a lower failure rate, no ads, and better specs. Plus it has every game people talked about in here and more.


If you have XIII-2, I'd really advise you get XIII, it's a lot better, and it is needed to understand XIII-2

Check out the Viva Pinata series, it's Rare's finest work after Nintendo.

Forza is actually a great racing simulator too.

Halo is pretty overrated, but it's definitely worth a shot.

Never doubt getting Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, 3 Playstation games brought over with great results.

And absolutely try Grand Theft Auto IV or V, though the Xbox has trouble runming them at some points, they're all amazing games.

   This is just my opinion, but I would prefer for you to play a motherload of Call of Duty: Ghosts Extinction and some other war video games. Haha! Considering I play it a lot, that is what I believe. Anyways, enjoy your new system. One question, why had not you purchased an Xbox One instead? Just curious...

DenzGamer135 : An xbox one would have cost over 500 quid but the xbonx 360 250gb and the games came in at under 200 so it was in my price range.

My tip is sell that Xbox and buy a better console, lol.

Those are really all the games I have... it was only after buying it we realised there weren't many games that weren't first-person-shooters or games with stupidly gory titles. I have to admit I do like the Grand Theft Auto series though, but I just liked abusing cheats and messing around. The cars are gonna fly tonight ~ (Oh, if only I could re-live that on San Andreas with a PS2 emulator... hint hint (yes I know that it will be hard to code and probably impossible due to bios and... gonna pretend like I know this stuff - server strain?))
Apparently Metal Gear Solid was good too... I'm surprised I haven't tried out any of those.

Protip: Don't bother getting more than one CoD game. One is enough, because nothing varies except maps and a few guns, and they're stupidly overpriced. I saw CoD Ghosts at a shop for £60 while I can have much more fun with a game on my 3DS, which will also last longer, for £20 to £40 (Also can't maps be simply added as DLC? The guns also, so buying 2 CoD games is pointless. Creator, I am disappoint.)
