When you're in the middle of playing a game (on and not on Vizzed, and you have to use the Shift button and when you have to press it like 5 times, boom, you get the sticky key window pop up and it interferes with your game, especially when you're in the middle of something. I have this happen to me a whole lot whenever it's a gave involving the shift key, has that ever caused you problems when you're playing something neither if it's on Vizzed or a game that isn't on Vizzed.

This happened to me a lot for a Nicktoons racing game all the time. It glitched up the game when it happened, meaning I had to restart everything. It wasn't until much later that I found out that you can just turn them off.

This got annoying when I played minecraft a few weeks ago. I used the shift key to hide so no one would see me and when i kept my finer there for a long time it poped up. One time I was climbing up water and the messaged popped up. I almost died, but I closed it in time. I switched the shift key to the right mouse button so it doesn't happen to me anymore.

This is basically the first thing I fix when setting up a new PC
Any of those accessibility shortcuts are bound to cause issues if you're playing games, and what's worse is when they kick in, even if you tell it NO, it keeps it activated anyhow, so you have to go digging around to find the option to disable it.

I HATED Sticky Keys, and I couldn't figure out how to fix it, so I never touched shift. Ever. Then a few years later, my hard drive died and I had to get a new computer. This time it was Windows Seven and it still is,  but I never had to deal with sticky keys ever again.

FYI you can turn sticky-keys off.

Also, any game designer that would make "Shift" a primary key for controls on a PC game is just a jerk. lol Either that, or they are brain-dead.

Just make sure if you see shift as a primary key, check to see if you can re-configure to a new key.

I hated it before I turned it off. You see, I used to play this one fan game where the jump key was shift... I died a lot because it would tell me about sticky keys in the middle of the game and I would fall into pits >~< It was VERY annoying...

I don't like to turn sticky keys off, so I just change the controls so that I don't have to use the shift button. It is a lot easier that way. And if i haven't played the game before, I don't need to learn any new keys.

IIRC it's also the strafe key on Wolfenstein 3D, but I believe DOS Box has a feature to block Sticky Keys from appearing when playing games in DOS mode. A real jerk move is why Microsoft enables it with 5 presses of the shift key. Why can't it be something less conspicuous, like pressing Page Up and Page Down at the same time 5 times? I'm not sure why Sticky Keys still exists, I've never had a reason to use it.
