This month's Speed Run competition is for 'Ninja Gaiden' for the Nintendo NES. You can play it here:

VIDEO REQUIRED: You must post a video of yourself accomplishing the score you submit. You must use the RGR Plugin's built in video recording capabilities. I've never played a Ninja Gaiden game before, but when I've heard it being described from others, they often use the words "tough" and "unforgiving."

Alright! Finally got my speed run through ALMOST as fast as I wanted. I did lose a life twice, so it wasn't perfect. But it puts me currently in first by almost 4 minutes. Near the end of the month, I will try to get through on a no death run to cut it down a few more minutes (hopefully). Won't post the video yet so nobody tries to copy what I do  |

rcarter2 : wow beautiful run i might need to see the video of that so i can find a good way to beat the game again for the other playthrough comp, I died quite a bit and then i died at the final boss which sent me back to 6-1 so i gave up. |

rcarter2 : you can always just upload 2 runs like the other guy did with the better one being accepted. 6-2 really pisses me off and the second from of jacquio is quite tough until i learn the pattern but you cant die once without getting sent back so it's hard to learn. |

UFC : You only fight Jacquio once. At the end, the first fight is Ryo's father, who is being controlled. Then you fight Jacquio. The third and final fight is against the monster that emerges from the 2 demon statues But anyway, as to your first statement; that wouldn't be a good idea for me. I am not posting specifically because I don't want anyone copying what I do to get my time. That is exactly what happened on Duck Tales. I submitted my time that was over 10 minutes faster than anyone, and I uploaded my video 3 days before the deadline (because I was going to be gone and unable to upload it on the last day). When I got back, 3 people beat my time, and all 3 of their videos used that glitch I used, and none of them used it before. The video I have now, I use the same method as I will use when I try to get to 22 minutes. The only reason why I didn't get it in that time is because there were 2 spots which I screwed up and got hit into a pit. Super nervous right now. I see nguyen has been playing this a LOT in attempt to beat my time. I think if anyone beats me on the last day, it will be him. We will see how it goes. I am hoping that at least one more person tries to submit something for this competition. Pretty much anyone who beats the game in time trial mode will get that 3rd place spot at least |

Man I give up. There is an easy third place I could of got but the thing is, this game certainly isn't easy. Today is the first time I have played it so I wasn't expecting to complete it quickly or anything but it turns out I could not complete it at all. When it got to 4-1 things just seemed impossible for an acceptable time. I have had problems uploading long videos and even though this was a speed run it took forever to get where I was because of deaths from level 2-2. So yeah I gave up...
