The other day my grandpa said something awesome. He said "If you are under 18 and you are a democrat, you don't know better. But if you are over 18 and you were a democrat, you are just stupid." What do you think about this?

I think he's a Republican . Nah, I'm cool with that phrase. Lots of Democrats really don't look at the long-term affects of their plans. (No offense, but a few do...)

My grandpa was social democrat until the day he died. He started in their youth group in the thirties, he was a world war two veteran who lost his brother in the war and a working man and an honest man who did everything for his wife and family.

His wise words: "Stay a man, son." and "The church is not what makes you holy or a better person. It is what is in your heart."

He would also visit local right wing politicians and would speak his mind and never believed that a persons political stance would be a barrier that would separate people if it the came to being originally from the same background and from the same backwoods. The guy he used to visit a lot is now our current prime minister. And he is in my eyes a right wing piece of deer leavings but he is from our village. My grandpa was a pretty mellow guy.

I don't agree but I don't disagree ether. Democracies and Republics are like this (I am going to use US parties for my example). Democracy is nothing but a chair with only three legs. Democrats try getting enough money as they can from everyone to put under the chair where the leg is missing. Republicans just push the poor man that is sitting in the chair and throw him under it so the rich man can sit nice. The US government is nothing but a broken chair that needs to be chopped up and used for fire wood.

There Is No Balance Of Power.
Today.
If you want to stay alive?
You have to talk democratic.
If you want your kids or country to survive?
You have to vote republican.
That's the problem.
Voter's can not say what they do or vote for.
It is oppression.

Maybe this goes already off topic but if you are poor or from the working class then there is no point for voting a party like the Republican party or whatever is similar outside the USA.. If you are rich, then I don't blame you. It is your interests they are looking after then. But if you are just a common worker and vote for the yuppies they are just going to laugh at you all the way to the bank.

Politics seem to be a very touchy subject, were everyone will get all huffy about everything. I have a very different political view then most but I can respect the point of view of others even if I don't agree with it one bit.
