So..i want to ask everyone this question...what is school to you?..is it a place where you have fun and become educated? Or is it a waste of time and you could something better than go to school.? (post your opinion)

supercool22 : When I went to school, to me, especially in my middle and later years (except my Senior year), I always been thinking that school was mostly a waste of time for me, getting up early in the morning which was tough enough, and going to school doing school work when at the same time, you got a lot of things you wish you should do at home more, so in a way, to my, it's really a waste of time, but it really depends on who you are more like.

Depends on my mood honestly. Sometimes when I have mostly free days/ hours I feel like that school is a waste of breath and I should be at home sleeping or doing something productive that or when I'm really sleepy I could honestly care less about school and Ill try to figure out when I can take a nap in class. Otherwise I think its a good way to hang out with friends while learning about future possible career choices.

For me, it is a place where you actually learn new things and become smarter. I don't really think it should all be popularity and friends. Well, maybe some friends but still, the main reason we go to school is to LEARN. Keep that in mind. lol. 

I end up having a good time at school and I do make a lot of new friendships in school. For instance, I met a kid during my Junior year of high school, and he is still in high school while I am in college, yet we are still hanging out a lot. Even tomorrow, the people you meet in school can last a long time.

supercool22 : School is trash to me. I teach myself almost everything. If I could name one thing I learned in school, I would say nothing. It is a waste of time for me. 

To me, school is a place where you can have fun and get a good education because I have made most of my friends there and I like to learn and do well in school.

To me, school is important, because I do learn things, though I still don't like it much. It's boring and it takes a long time, though I do think that it's good to learn things, and that I'm lucky that I can have free education.

School to me is a prison built for kids but they don't know because they learn and some of the teachers act nice and they only spend about 6 hours a day there

School to me is like a jail cell and I am trapped in it it with a bunch of ignorant kids who aren't willing to learn. I am disciplined and I have the desire to learn, but most kids in my school don't and they impede on my learning in class because of their foolish ignorance and because of that, class has to stop because they just don't know how to act and behave their age. It is ridiculous. Nothing was worse than last year though. But I think this year, the freshmen take the cake for most annoying.


 So I would describe it as a prison full of bozos who don't want to learn anything and serve as distractions from my learning. That is how I would describe my school and the people in it, and I an see a lot of people feel the same way. 

School to me is just learning and something else that I'm to describe.

It was a great mistake to believe that school is a waste of time...
It depends on how you look at it, if you work hard and consciously you will even have fun learning things there, you will earn knowledge, respect, support and you will enjoy your life . Of course, should you choose to neglect your studies and treat your work reluctantly, you'd better not expect a good relationship with your parents, or yourself for that matter...

It's a hassle. Elementary school was fun. No complaints here, I had a great childhood. High school though...To be honest it actually got better as it went on. I had some really hard classes in my last two years, yet I still have a lot of fond memories. I'm not a huge fan of classes, but I do appreciate what school can offer people. A good teacher in my opinion is not only one that teaches subjects but also life lessons, and helps with maturation. I think my favourite part of school was probably my teachers. I had a lot of teachers that I love dearly and that have helped make me a better person. University though...not liking it at all. ;p I find the courses are harder than they have to be, and way too prestigious. I mean, if you get too many bad marks you get kicked out and lose your money. No ifs and/or buts. I'm starting to think I should have gone to college...I feel like university is more for people who don't know what they want to do and it just opens a lot of doors for them. But I know what I want to do so...I dunno.

Give it time. School gets a lot more challenging and customizable when you get older. (Think, high school. Middle school was a lot of new things, but still painfully simple.) Once you start taking advanced, or especially college level courses (AP) it's a lot more of an interesting challenge. There is TONS of homework, though... You get to choose classes that YOU want to take! (Within the requirements for credits, of course.)

Anyway, about that question, I personally often get frustrated with the amount of homework I get, and the annoyances that are my peers, (picture Scar saying "I'm surrounded by idiots!"), but in the end, school is undeniably useful. I want to go to college some day, so school is completely necessary for that, or for eventually becoming a scientist, as I've often considered. If you want an intellectual career like I do, (actually, my dream is to be an author, but that doesn't pay), you need school, like it or not. And I actually love learning, just not the choice presentation of such knowledge that the schools practice. I would actually feel useless if I didn't go to school, to be honest. My intellect has sort of become my identity.

Well to me school is me sitting there just shaking my head every minute because of the people who I'm with stopping class.

School to me is an inspirational source given from adults to children to aide the lives of children soon to be successful in life. School is a fun and exceptional learning source aside from school being a bit competitive. School is the key to life, and without it you can't unlock that door to success. School was a great experience for me when I was in Elementary. 5th grade was the best. In school, it doesn't matter how nice your teacher is. If your teacher is crude to you, then she or he is disciplining you to teach you the arts of discipline, wisdom, power, and courage.

I think it could be fun sometimes, and it can get boring. But education is very important in order to get a perfectly good job. I remember when I hated it so much and I sneaked out of school once... (I said nothing again...) Yeah, really.. But I never entered the school to escape though.. ._.

Hey, that's is a real good question. What is a School to me? I think it's a place where  you should get educated and have fun at the same time! All the teachers should become butlers, we fire the Principals and feed them to the gross lunch ladies. All the kids have to at least do ALL their work before they have fun! You know what? I just made the worst reply to this thread.

School is an okay thing to me. I don't really mind anything to it. No hate, no love. It's just another stepping stone to get me somewhere in life, and besides having a social life.
