Do you truly believe pokemon has gone on to long...? well for me it has but it does not really effect me to much because i dont watch the show at all i just play the games and like the designs 

Its the same thing with Yu-gi-oh i dont like the show...well i do like the original and Gx the most but i dont like the current show but i dont care about that i care about the cool new cards...well those kind of suck to but. you get my point  

Anyway tell me your thoughts about the state of pokemon and if you think it has been going on for to long

i agree pokemon have been going on to long already...... and i only watch the anime i don't play the games.....but i really hope that its never stop....because if it is stop then pokemon games well stop and that well make some people get sad....and i don't want it to stop  )': i am watching it all this years  ...it well be a broke my heart  if its stop 

I think the show is pretty good and the games are really good as well, I just think they are going to run out of ideas eventually, they are resorting to piles of garbage and ice cream sundaes for pokemon, then I can only imagine some of the other ideas they will come up with in the future if they continue doing this. So although I like the games and the anime now, I think that within a few years if they keep it going, if they haven't already, they are just going to run out of ideas for pokemon. I think most of the good pokemon ran out after gen 4, with the exception of some on gen 5, but after too long, the pokemon are just going to get more and more weird as it continues being made. 

The show has gone on for quite a bit, but I believe that the game can live on for many more years, because it is still so awesome and there would probably be a riot somewhere if the game gets cancelled.

I know the shows been around since the 90's, but in a way, I think they can last a lot more years to come, with then adding new Pokemon, I don't think they're just done yet.

No, It has not gone too far. At least the games. They have a lot of cool ideas, and there is more to come after X and Y. People complaining about new Pokemon looking unoriginal, well what about Grimer and Muk? They are both just purple goo. Electrode, poke-ball with eyes. Squirtle, a turtle with a squirrel tail.The list goes on, and that is just for gen I Pokemon. Don't tell me that new Pokemon are "unoriginal"
And what about all the new ideas they have? Mega evolution, horde battles, riding Pokemon, it's awesome.
As for the show, maybe yes, although it still is pretty good.

Yes, I do; but as long as people keep buying the games, GF will keep coming out with new ones.

The show has followed the rest of everything. It tries to get this generation to like it. The story line is pretty much nonexistent and the dialog is terrible, I do have to watch it alot because my daughter likes it. The games are a different story. I think the games are as good as they were back in 95. Pokemon is the only games that have stayed consistently good.

relinquish022 : Omg, I went to go post on this thread, and I pressed the power button on my laptop when I moved it. I was so mad. I almost threw it. 

Anyway, My opinion is yes, its gotten to the point where enough is enough. You ran over Pikachu till he became a electrified yellow bear rug. I thought that Gold, Crystal and Silver where the breaking point. After 3rd Gen, everything went downhill. The Pokémon got dumb, The graphics went from original 2D to crappy 3D, the names of the Pokémon and the sprites where amazingly off-the-wall, they added unnecessary evolutions and pre-evolutions to Pokémon that didn't need it such as: Munchlax -->Snorlax or Happiny --> Chansy --> Blissy. It made me crazy with stupid-anger. Yes, stupid-anger: The emotion you feel when something stupid is said or done. <--Emoteen134 Speech 101 is over. 

Anyway, I just want to say that Nintendo should have just stuck with Ruby Sapphire and Emerald. Things would have been so much better.

No. I think that if they take the right steps, they will become better then they were.

It's hard to say if it has or hasn't. There are good improvements and the newest games seem to pointing in a good direction.

i honestly think if the game ever canceled i would be kinda mad. since i have had pokemon since the first gold/crystal and even pokemon yellow! now i dont like watching the show, mostly because of ash and his decisions in a pokemon battle...

What sort of question is that? The Pokemon series of games has not been going on for too long, is not going on for too long, and never will be going on for too long. Period! But, seriously, though , I don't think it is. Like you said, there have been major improvements, and the new games are pointing in the right direction. If Mario is remaining so successful after 32 years of its existence, then why can't Pokemon remain successful after 18 years of its existence?

Well I believe that they will make a lots of more Pokémon's because kids still loves those pocket monsters. The more they make, more the kids parents need to spent on those games, figures etc. I only have Pokémon red, silver and heart gold. And that's enough for me, honestly I have been thinking to buy Pokémon Y but first I need Nintendo 2DS so we will see.

Kids are crazy so Pokémon is good marketing trick.
