*Clears throat* Hello. I just looked at SuperCrash's post about that controller, and decided it might be cool to review a video game accessory myself. So I am here reviewing the Nintendo 64!

SuperCrash64 : Hey-oh!

Where do I start?

History: The Nintendo 64 was the console created after the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. In 1996, the Nintendo 64 was released alongside with the game Super Mario 64. It became a big hit in video game history. The console was discontinued in 2002 to let the GameCube take the spotlight. There was many other colors of consoles and controllers of the Nintendo 64 sold other than the original black one which will be explained later in this review. The Nintendo 64 is home to VERY popular Nintendo games such as Super Mario 64, Super Smash Bros, Mario Party 2, Paper Mario, Donkey Kong 64, and Banjo Tooie. Oh of course also Star Fox 64. There was a lot of games released in Japan for the Nintendo 64. They also released Japanese versions of the American games. The box art was very different, and lots of the Japanese Nintendo 64 titles were about fighting.?

Console Design: The console is the unique part about the system is the design. You see like the Super Nintendo, there is an on or off switch and a reset button. The console has a sticker on the front that says 'Nintendo 64' also featuring the Nintendo 64 logo. In front of the console are the controller ports. They have black holes which match the tip of the controller wire. This is the first console with 4 player games so there is four ports. ?In the back is where you stick in the black AC Power Adapter. You will notice a big gap in the back which is obviously where you stick it in. The console is flat, but also has a curve that is kinda like a mountain. On top is where you stick the game cartridge inside. Most of the cartridge will stick out of the console making it easy to pull out.

The Controller: Now on to explaining the controller. It is M shaped to represent Mario being the mascot for Nintendo. There is an analog stick, A and B buttons which are next to each other, an L button, an R button, a Z button in the back, and the worthless D-pad which is on the left hand side of the controller. There is also the C buttons that are yellow which are north-east of the A and B buttons. The wire sticks out near where the L and R buttons are, on top of the controller. The wire extends to about three feet. On the back, you will see a wide gap. That is where you stick the Rumble Pack used for games like Goldeneye 007. It causes your controller to rumble caused by certain events within the game like being killed in Super Smash Bros.

Value of the Console: The console is not as valuable as the GameCube for some reason even though the GameCube came right after the Nintendo 64. The value for the Nintendo 64 is $30-$100 depending on what color the console is.

Colors of Nintendo 64 consoles:

Fire Orange (RAREST)

Pokemon

Gold

Red

Blue

Green

Jungle Green

Gray

Charcoal Black (Most common)

Transparent so you can see the parts inside

Of course each console comes with matching controllers.

Types of Controllers: There's not very many BRANDS of controllers though. The other controller types for the Nintendo 64 are not made by Nintendo. There is the Super Pad 64 controller which has shorter creases, bigger buttons, and only comes in black, red, blue, or green. We also have the other Super Pad 64 controller which looks exactly like a Turbo Controller. It is NOT shaped like an M. It is sorta like a rectangle, and the buttons are very close to each other. All of these controllers work the same when used.

Most Popular Titles: Super Mario 64, Star Wars 64, 1080, Mario Party 2, Mario Party 3, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart 64, Donkey Kong 64, Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, Star Fox 64, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Yoshi's Story, Goldeneye 007, Paper Mario, A Bug's Life, Harvest Moon 64, Mario Golf.

I am not going to read it now, I will read it later. It looks really promising! And I will tell you the same thing I told SuperCrash. There is a rented forum owned by play4fun for reviewing things other than games. From now on, I think you should probably post these in there.

This is pretty nice review on the N64 I got to say, both you and SuperCrash really did a great job on this and I think this can be a good idea to review consoles instead of just the game because a lot of people got a lot to talk about with the system from the first consoles in the 1st generation all the way to the next 8th generation consoles and every consoles in between, well known to barely known, from consoles to handhelds, and every consoles they're is.

Okay we get the point, but Listen here. I wanted to explain this to you eariler, but I didn't wanna sandwhich post. anyways.Reviews are fine in this fourm.

There's a spefic Sub fourm for Reviewing game related stuff here. So Techinally we don't have to always post stuff like this in play4fun's fourm,

I understand you are trying to help us with suggesting were we post reviews, but still my point is vaild.

Nice Job Pixelbrick, The only thing I wish you'd do was make some ratings. It would help. clarify the review and why you rated your scores. also neat I Inspired someone to write some reviews

Yeah I agree this is a pretty good, solid review on the N64 console. I think you did a pretty good and 700+ words is more than enough to sum up a great console. I think you did a great job and this review is top notch. I don't think I could've described this great console much better myself so good job. You are very descriptive in your review as always which is awesome.

You know this is the second unique review I have seen today, I saw tgags mini review and now your review of a console, both of which are really good. Overall nice job and I really think you summed it up quite nicely. Keep up the great work and what console will you be reviewing next? SNES?

I just hope my next console review can be longer than only 714 words. If I reviewed the Nintendo Entertainment System, I would estimate about 1.7k words.

You did a really good job on this review; you went through a lot of the details, and because of you, now I want to get the system. This was a success in my opinion, and I believe that you should go and do more.
