Okay as thee thread says, do you pack your lunch at home or do you just buy it at school. Personally I pack my lunch like everyday and I eat it at school. I usually have a variety of sandwiches or ships and some fruit or cookies in my lunch.


A few days out of the year though when I m too tired and don't feel like packing I buy a lunch, food at my high school isn't bad or anything, but I am not filled up after buying a lunch so that is why I avoid it, plus the milk is horrible as well. So I'd say about 95% of the year I pack lunches and eat them at school. Unfortunately I have 3rd lunch which is the last shift on both days and I get so hungry! But that is what I do about lunch at school.

So do you pack or buy lunch for school? 

I almost always have a packed lunch, mostly because it is more cost efficient to do so. However, every so often I reward myself and buy lunch, usually complimented by and additional something packed.

I do both. I usually but lunch once or twice a week and then bring a sandwich the other days. I don't really like school food, but I prefer hot food. So I do a little bit of both.

Eniitan : my mom does that too sometimes, and she makes the best chicken patties when she packs my lunch she always makes a lot o good choices

tgags123 : I do too. Most of the time I pack my own, but every once in a while I will end up buying one at school. They are okay lunches, I am not gonna say they suck, but they just really don't fill me up that much, it is like an apple, milk and the main lunch which is like pizza or something else.I am a growing teen and I get really hungry from waiting all day, so a school lunch doesn't normally cut it for me. 

When I was in school, I normally pack my lunch because I really didn't trust the school's food, I much rather trust my own food, so I bring my own. If I don't bring it, then I got a school lunch, but that's rare.

Most of the time I just brought my own lunch. I didn't care for the school lunches (like a lot of people); I'm surprised schools haven't really made an attempt to make school lunches healthier yet.

I used to pack my lunch but now I buy the lunches at my school.

I do both. On Monday-Thursday I pack my lunch and on Friday I buy my lunch.

I bought a lunch at school today by accident, I thought that today was a half day, apparently it turned out to be for only middle and elementary school and high school had the full day. My brother and sister really lucked out! Anyways, the last time I had half days, I didn't have lunch and we just went straight home so that is the reason I didn't pack today and I ended up getting a school lunch which was alright, but I prefer one from home any day, it is just more delicious and filling.


It really sucked because they just got a random half day because I get half days on exam days and they don't so I think that is why they did this. So I ended up buying a school lunch 2 days in a row! 

Growing up, my mother always packed my lunches, which I adored.  Other kids thought it was stupid and made fun of me and my twin for it... but I never complained.  I guess at a few points in my life it embarrassed me, but I'd never change it for the world.  Those lunches are memories in and of themselves, and they were always much more filling, healthy, and tasteful than whatever the school slapped together.  Besides that, my mother could always give us random surprises:  a sticky note, some candy, shaped sandwiches....  It's not like a cafeteria 'surprise' can really touch your heart.

Being an adult, I still take my own lunches.  It's more convenient and more importantly.... more affordable.  If I can have the freedom to eat whatever I want, why not exercise that?  It's true that I usually have a handful of Ritz crackers for lunch to tide me over for dinner at home... but who cares?  I'm saving money... and a lot of it. If I ever decide I want to bring something else, I do.

My husband on the other hand, is completely opposite.  He will not do packed lunches for ANYTHING.  He prefers going out and spending the money and getting fast, quick food while he's at work.

I always pack a lunch. Even when I went to work over the summer and we were out and about. I always find it way too expensive to buy lunch everyday. It is so much cheaper, and healthier than buying lunch from a fast food place or a cafeteria everyday. If you actually do the Math, you spend hundreds and thousands of dollars every year just on lunch if you buy it. Think of all the money you can save if you pack a lunch from home.

Well I would usually pack my lunch all the time mainly because the school lunch taste terrible lots of times, sometimes my body wants to spit the lunch back out.

I dont do neither. I dont pack lunch and lunch is free at my school. (yay for me)

I usually just pack lunch for school. Mostly I would get bagels.  Why? because the lunch in my school is just expensive and terrible. Sometimes they even have rotten and old food. Its just nasty.

I don't go to skool anymore, but I did mostly pack lunches and hardly ever buy lunches, but now back in College I use to buy lunches alot!!

Monday is when they have pizza, so I buy it that day, tues.-fri. I pack it. They never have anything good.

I used to do both. But now, I'm more of a person who packs it.

I used to buy it back in elementary, and pack it occasionally too. Then, it just became repetitive, and the food was actually rumored to have... "gross" things in it. People hated the school food, and many brought home food.

In middle school, my mom made it for me. She'd never tell me what I had, and that, ultimately, was awesome. People would overall envy my mom's cooking. It was pretty cool, and I loved eating my mom's food. It was really tasty, and I just enjoyed eating what my mom made. Just her making it made it special.

Now, sadly, I picked up how to cook. Now I'm forced to make my own food. I hate school food, and my mom works more now.

I buy my lunches at school because I am not good at making anything, and even if I did make something, I would end up eating it long before lunchtime.

Both. I bring my lunch 2 days a week and eat at school 3 times.
