I almost always not put numbers at the end of my usernames . The only nimber I will put at the end of it is 9 because I love the number 9 for some reason .  But lots of my usernames do not have numbers at the ends of them

Seriously though, there's probably no real reason in most cases. I've always hated usernames with numbers in them, especially if they just seem like random numbers.

Being a math nerd, I totally gushed at how awesome Mistress' answer was.

That being said, Mr. Zed's retort made me crack up laughing.  It was crackilicious.

I don't really know how to answer the question other than the obvious though....
Adding numbers offers a wider opportunity to have a unique username.

I avoid putting numbers at the end of my usernames at all costs, I would never remember that!
I think people tend to do that because, the numbers/number means something to them or maybe because the username they want is already taken so they put like 123 at the end of it...

Because just razor would've been boring, and instead I put the last three 1 digit numbers backwards and got 987, added it to my name and that is how I got my present username, and it sounds a lot cooler and it makes my name more exciting. Because believe it or not, other than the name suggests, just razor alone is rather dull XD.

So that is where the numbers come into play to make my user name more interesting. Plain and simple, yet it sounds awesome...at least to me it does....

I find this odd at how often it is used, personally I think it ruins a username. If the original name is already taken, be creative. It is not nice when you see a guy called tom833567897 and you hate that guy and then the next day you see a good user called tom99754354113. You would not know who to show respect to.
