I haven't seen a thread on this, so I might as well create this, (but if they was, then close this)

It is pretty much sad to hear about this news, that former Nintendo's President Hiroshi Yamauchi has past away on September 19th, 2013. It's sad to see him go, he was the man that pretty much brought video games to where they are today, and the legend behind all sorts of classic Nintendo characters like Mario, DK, Zelda, and just name a few
He's the guy that brought in the Super Mario Bros. into the gaming world (and numerous other titles).

Rest in peace Hiroshi Yamauchi, you sir, you are a legend, You shall be missed by many.

zerothesaint : Yeah, he pretty much saved Video Games after the big crash in 1983, if it wasn't for him, the PS3, the 360, the Wii, all of that wouldn't exist, in fact, Vizzed wouldn't even exist. so yeah, he saved the video gaming industry.

Plus, when the games were being made he was very very picky about which ones would go through and which ones wouldn't. I know he made a hiccup with the Virtual Boy, or so sales indicate, but made up for that with the N64.

I am very sorry to hear this. He was a legend, which would not only make amazing games for his own company but had shaped over companies. For instance the creation of Mario bros was a hit and sega then made sonic the hedgehog. Zelda was made, that influenced other companies.
There are many spin-offs but the originals are the best!
