Mega Man X is one of my best games I have ever played. The graphics are good but a little balky at best but still good. Now the sound I like it the way it is. Addictive to me it is very addictive there is no doll moment at all in the game.

I think this was one of Mega Man's last great games. I find that it is a deeper game than the original NES series, but that's mostly since there is more room to put story, and there is more in the first place.

this game is awesome its one of my all time favorites the thing i like the most about it is the music and i live going through the itro stage over and over again. mega man looks awesome in his new appearence but he looks even better with armor because he could dash and have cool weapons. it is not my all time snes favorite but its number 2 in my list number 1 is super mario world. the graphics are just plain amazing.one thing i dont like about this game is that the fact that i need a password to continue when they already in vented the save feature. but other then that i give megaman x 9.2/10

I enjoy Megaman X quite a bit. It's was one of my more favoured franchises until capcom suddenly stopped making games. I also agree when it comes to graphics how they are really amazing. It's still one of the best platformers in my opinion.

I never really got into Mega Man that much. I'm surprised that I'm the only one that posted saying I wasn't interested in this game.

I'm not a huge fan of the X series. I'd still prefer the classic series, to be honest. The X series seemed stale, hard to play, and just uninteresting overall. Sorry, X fans!

Even though I don't play megaman all that much, I still like x, it is pretty good and it still provides a challenge to play which makes it all the more interesting the way I see it. I like the classic mega man series as well, but x is also good in its own ways. I have played the first mega man x, but not the second, I am sure its good though!

A nice introduction to the X-series. My Favorites are X2 and X3 for Super Nintendo. I like 2 and 3 better because the music was better and the controls were much better. Still the first game introduced the X series and it is a good game overall.  

Here is how I rate it  on a scale 1-10 

Plot 8 out of 10. I give the Plot a solid score of 8. It may not be as visible as in other X games. However one quickly gets the Idea Sigma is responsible for the maverick outbreak. 
Music 7 out of 10. I give the music a 7 out of 10. It is not memorable as X2 and X3 but it is decent. I like Amour Armadillo's stage theme and Sting Chameleon's theme rocks too
Graphics 7 out of 10.  The graphics are pretty good for it being the first X game. However X2 and X3 had much better graphics
Control 7 out of 10. The controls are decent sometimes though they seem like they lag  
 Ending 9 out of 10. I think the ending was nicely done. We can see that Sigma is coming back and it was a nice way to lead into X2. We also know that X is going to fight again. 

Overall. X1 is a good game and I highly recommend playing it. It introduces the X series nicely. I think that Capcom fixed the graphics, music and play control in the other two Great Games of X2 and X3 for Super Nintendo

I've always been a fan of the classic Megaman games my favorite being 2 and after reading this thread I decided to try Megaman X.  So far I'm really enjoying it but I have to say thank goodness for save states because those bosses can be rough.  I've gotten through the top 2 bosses so far but I plan on finishing the entire game.  Thanks everyone for leading me to a great game series.  I will try the next X games after I finish the first.
