Hello everybody who knows a thing or two about X-Men. The question here is, what is your favourite X-Men villain? Mine is magneto. He has an awesome musical theme in X-Men first class, his powers are awesome, which I kinda want to have but I would rather have Jean Grey's, and he is usually smart. Of course he is arrogant and stubborn, but the constant opposition he has against professor X is strong.

I would have to go with Apocalypse. That guy is just evil to the core, and a grade-A Bad***. He went to war with the combined forces of the X-men and Magneto's group, deaths on both sides. That takes stones to do. Magneto, to me, is more of an antagonist than an actual villain. He is truly doing what he believes is what is morally right and the best for his people. Apocalypse is downright cruel to the core.

I'm going to have to agree with about everyone here and say Magneto. But he isn't really evil. I mean, he's helped the X-men plenty of times. Sure he wants to kill every non mutant but honestly, going through the holocaust, having your wife AND girlfriend killed. You'd probably want people dead too.

I wonder what the character limit on this thing is.

This is not a very easy question to answer for me because I love different villains for different reasons and also because X-men is notorious for having so many different series with different story lines which introduces other characters as well as the same characters differently in each series which is a little confusing at times and may even hurt the overall awesomeness of some villains. So instead of my favorite I will list my top 3 in order.

1) Apocalypse. This villain is amazing as just a super evil character in the X-Men series which also since it is in the Marvel Universe is able to obviously beat/destroy other heroes such as the Avengers. Apocalypse can turn into anything he wants, his power is just extremely massive, and he creates 4 dark riders for himself who does all of his bidding which all 4 are usually insanely powerful and able to destroy even small armies alone! I feel his name is sort of ironic and should not have been named such a name but to be honest as a fan of X-Men it does fit and I absolutely loved the comics when it was his turn to shine and screw the planet up as much as he did.

2) Magneto. This guy was not only evil but he constantly switched from good and evil throughout X-Men. First he was introduced as good and went to evil because of arguments and his hate for humans which I do not blame since he grew up in the holocaust and was being used for his massive powers and tortured mentally. Then as an evil character he would just destroy humans and cities just because of the fact that they were humans which was pretty awesome as a character who is portrayed as evil. Then he "turned good" again by creating a Utopia for mutants which was pretty neat but also gave him a large military power and soldiers which were just incredibly powerful. Then he turned evil again when Apocalypse started his reign and became good when he tried to stop him all on his own and he lost his memory which he was a good hearted mutant who was powerful. Then again he got his memory back and became evil yet again before he was finally killed which spawned his followers who were evil and started to run the Utopia. So even though Magneto was the common evil enemy of the X-Men he was incredibly powerful and constantly switched sides which to me makes an awesome villain because you could really see how he chose good then chose evil and kept battling on both sides. I really respect this character and will always remain a classic in my heart.

3) Juggernaut. He is just incredibly strong and can trample on anyone he wants sort of like the Hulk but less strong and god I love Hulk! So not every villain just has incredible strength but some villains in any comic book are more of the strategic types who play games with the heroes and just give them a hard time until the hero is able to do a 1 hit K.O. This guy is different and much more enjoyable to watch. He does not care who you are, how strong you are, or if you are a team of heroes he will just say a funny line and spring into action and wreck the whole team or person like its a fly. Though this is not really my type of character and can never seem to be in more than 1 episode at a time this is still a villain that deserves to be on my top 3.

Hope you enjoyed my list everyone!

I have to give it to Magneto as well.

Though to be honest I don't see him as a villain like most people do, while it is true that Magneto battles constantly with the Xmen this doesn't make him evil, if you look at the circumstances of his life with how humans have treated him and many of his kind it seems reasonable that he would want to make a world for mutants. After all if someone were to hold, experiment on, kill my people I would be rather upset as well lol, I like professor X but personally I believe Magneto is righteous in his idea to destroy humanity or at the very least convert them into mutants as well. Also let's not forget that through everything even when fighting against the Xmen, Apocalypse, the beyonder, Galactus etc etc it was all for the belief that he could make the world better for his own people, is he perfect? no but in all honestly no one wants a perfect character because they are boring.

Hands down to Magneto forever in my opinion.

I would definitely have to say Magneto. He kind of started off as just the kind of "insert here" villain, but thank goodness to the contemporary artists he has become more of a fleshed out villain with complexity that no other character can really feel the role as. Experiencing the holocaust as a boy, an annihilation encouraged by the hatred and fear of a distinct group, Magneto only attempts to do the same before the humans succeed in destroying the mutants.  Ultimately though, Magneto's actions can be justified; he just doesn't want his people to be subjugated so seeks to hit first.

Growing up in the 90's I watched, of course, the X-men cartoon. So I will have to say the villain that impacted me as being the greatest will have to be Apocalypse. Unlike Magneto that resented the homo sapiens, Apocalypse despised homo sapiens and homo superiors alike. Apocalypse had his horsemen, which he could have picked a better choice of mutants to become his horsemen. Always enjoyed Apocalypse growing up, a villain that I admired in the X-men series.

Magneto all though he did have some bad moments. like in the fantastic four when he got beaten by a wooden gun. Magneto is still their most threatening though in my opinion.

I would say magneto, he actually has a clear and understandable cause, his methods are questionable yes but they are understandable. As for his powers? I think they are greatly under played, he has full control over the em spectrum so he can fry the brains of every human near by in an instant, he can also take the magnesium in the body and use it to shred the insides of his enemy.
