Just tonight I learned something horrifying. A room that is missing is needed! THE DRAMA ROOM! Not too long ago it was a working and functional room in Vizzed. People went into there to "drama it up", vent, flip out, whatever. To get to the point, I needed that room. I would of went in there tonight and went off, but instead went off on another person. I'm not going to actually name him but I did apologize to him.(on his profile). The point is, I FIRMLY BELIEVE THERE WOULD BE LESS PEOPLE FLIPPING, and just a really fun old place for a lot of older members...if we just bring back the drama room! DOOO EET! And put down why or why not if ya put a vote in please? FOR ME?

It is best for the room to just stay removed to be honest the reason David made the cost per minute in the chat rooms higher was because of all the drama that went on having a chatroom specifically for that wont get rid of all the drama.

I blame reality tv for everyone needing... and I mean NEEDING to bring drama into normal, everyday situations.  Why does everything have to be a big deal?  Why can't we all just exist and enjoy the basics?  

Drama equals people taking themselves to serious equals people getting their feelings hurt because they think they're so important equals people complaining about each other equals fights equals bans.

It's stupid.  we don't need it and people conflict anyway.  Why invite it with a room with the specific purpose of having drama?

I say no.  There are enough problems out there without trying to intentionally create disharmony

Umm... no... we already have a lot of dramas going on even without the drama room, bringing it back would just make things worse and harder to control.

I say yes, because people are going to be dramatic with or without the room.  It's best to have a place where they can do it instead of doing it in General and annoying everyone.

Nope, general chat has more drama than the regular drama room all the time, it gets annyoying and they always need to have mods in there, it is just too much.

manicman66 : I think it's good if the Drama Room comes back. I also think it would be harder to control but then it's easy to have some more Chat Mods I guess.. That would be interesting. Play4fun or David decide if it needs to come back or not.

This would be better for people who are sad, they can write there feelings in that Chat and not anymore in the General Chat.
Personally I think it's a good idea but everyone has there own opinions of course!

I'd have to say yes for bringing back the drama room because it is a place to vent your feelings and express your anger not by taking it out on others. You can vent whatever you need to in the drama room without fear of, getting banned from the board by a Global or higher, kicked out of chat by a local mod for being rude and swearing and taking your anger out on other people. To be honest would you rather have some one swearing and be rude open in public (general chat) or would you rather have them swearing saying rude things in a private place away from others (drama room which is the purpose of a drama room). In all honesty I feel this room is necessary and should come back because some times I would like to vent my feelings and anger about some of the things on Vizzed that generally upset me without fear of being banned, or complained about to the mods for swearing and being rude.

goodboy : A lot of rooms were removed without much reason besides under usage, they were still used, but not as much as the RP, General or Netplay lobbies / rooms.

Divine Aurora : If I'm going to be honest I think and feel like it's better to vent directly towards someone (such as a friend or etc,) through a pm rather than in the Drama room, since it allows for more privacy, if you do vent in the drama room, sure you would not suffer as much consequences as you would from venting in general, but it just means anyone could see your vent, and if your specifically aiming the vent at a person they may see it, get my point? But still I know people did vent in the room before .

As per the question at hand, heck yes we need it back, the RP room really isn't a place to be eccentric so I would very much appreciate the room returning, where else can I continue to parade around as the mad king and do the YMCA? Heck I can't even go on a sassy rampage in general.... bring back the Drama Room so I can continue my sassy rampages :3

Let me make a quick comment to all those who posted on this thread, because I think there is a little confusion based on the topics that I've seen.

1) The drama chat room was made for people to find a place to vent towards other members about real life drama. Like if they are feeling depressed or frustrated and needed someone to talk it out. It was not a place for "causing" drama, which is what some of you were thinking.
2) I made the decision to remove the chat room simply because it was inactive and very prone to spam. It was not deleted because it was a lot of trouble. But when very little people use that particular chat room, it doesn't motivate the moderators to check that room and people can easily go in there and use it against its purposes.
3) Because there is no such chat room now, people are using the General chat room to vent to other people along with everyone else who is in that chat room. Those who are in favor of bring drama room back is because they want to separate the general with the serious venting room.
4) Drama room would still have the censor. You can swear, but not by avoiding the censor. Typing a lot of censored swears because of you reacting in that room would not be punished (unless we can clearly see that you are spamming)

Now, continue your discussions and I will keep an eye on this thread. I am interested in seeing more reasoning about it bring back, and I am open to bringing it back if done right.

play4fun : Good point, it was inactive, the mose people I have seen in there is ONE. That was a good reason to remove it, besides, on comment one, I agree with you. I knew the point was not to start drama, and eventually a flame war. I knew if someone was, say, depressed or something like losing your best friend, etc. and you need some people to talk it out with, but that person never got to talk it out because there was nobody in the drama room, like ever. I can see why you removed it.

I have made a new room called the "venting room" with the purpose that you suggested. I am letting it go for a test run to see how it is being used. I also haven't made a decision on whether I should make it password protected and that people who want to use the room would need to ask the mods for the password. It's not right now, but it's something that I would consider.

Interesting.  I hope people don't use it with the same intents they use the mature room for.  Please tell me that all the chat room rules apply to the venting room, since they don't apply to the mature room? I'd hate to see something like this get abused.  I do think 'venting room' is a better idea and name than 'drama room' though.

Singelli : Check the rules for the chat room. They should all apply everywhere. I would be less strict though if someone decides to swear all over, but still uses the censor to cover it.

Well I've seen many older members go into the mature room to break all the rules.  And they act like they've been told they were allowed to.  As though that's the purpose of the room.  I'm not sure if they don't realize the same rules apply there, or if they just don't care.  But they'll go into the room and say things like "Oh look, I'm in the mature room, I can say <insert something very inappropraite> now!"  And yes, I'm being literal...
