If you could change one rule in your house, what would you change?

I would let the dog chew on the back carpet.  She likes it and it keeps her quiet.  No one goes back there and she enjoys herself.

What would you do differently?

I would change the rule that, for some reason, requires me to scoop all three litter boxes every day.

My parents put a family timer on our xbox 360. I only have two hours a day, and that is usualy shared with my brother meaning I only get 1. Just to add insult to injury, I am rarely allowed on it anyway.
It is also quite embarrassing to talk about to my friends on Xbox Live party chat. I have to make excuses like I am having dinner soon.

As you may tell, my house rule I would remove is the family timer on my Xbox 360. Come on Dad I am 13!!

I would try to get myself one less chore so I would have more time on Vizzed I have about four daily now that I'm a teen or at least I'm classified as one at my age but it isn't that bad it keeps me busy of course.

If I could change one rule in my house it would be the "packing your lunch for school at night" rule. I am always fine with getting on time to school if I pack my lunch in the morning. Just because my sister and my brother cause trouble around my house doesn't mean my parents should start enforcing more rules on me...

PacmanandMariofan :   I know situations like these are frustrating. But think of it as if you are helping your parents. They are relying on you. How so?

Well, if YOU were allowed to make lunch in the morning, how would the other sibling feel? Isn't there a chance that they would think it's unfair that THEY have to pack at night, but you don't? Then you parents who have to deal with this, and how could they honestly defend that what they did is fair? Whatever their argument is, the siblings would still put up a fight.

But by have everyone pack at the same time, the situation is fair, and your parents save a lot of trouble. So it's obvious that your parents trust you, and think your mature enough to be relied on. They know you prefer the mornings, but they know you are mature and smart enough to help them out by packing in the evening with your siblings.

For years, my mom used to have the house rule, "No indoor pet cats". Everyone else in the house is a cat lover, so I thought that was a little unfair. I changed that one day by bringing a stray kitten home... Bwahaha

I'd change the rule about limiting electronic time. While we (my siblings and I) did spend quite a bit of time, there isn't much else to do when it's 100F. lol. I guess it does help our eyes and stuff long-term, but what else to do? haha
