Well, the title is self explanatory. What was the worst or most craziest or weirdest... etc, virus you ever got on your pc? Well, for me, I once got a svchost.exe virus on my computer, That virus would actually make lots of fake error screens everytime you try to use the internet, but I eventually got the virus killed by going to safe mode and getting a special virus remover from the internet. How about you guys?

It was almost a year ago. My HP was going fine and then, it went corrupted and as a result, It had tons of blue screens. Every time I start up my HP, it had a blue screen. It was horrible. So, I had the Dell that was in the other bedroom upstairs.

I went to this one website that had a lot of retro game hacks (not vizzed) and I played every Super Mario Bros. hack I got. I didn't have internet security back then like I do now so I didn't know the site was dangerous for my computer. I got a huge load of viruses and I had to permanently delete my computer account and make a new one. I've had worse viruses but I don't remember any of them. All of the other viruses I've had in the past have killed my computer. Luckily every time that happened a professional could fix it for my family.

I don't use any anti virus software, but I have never gotten a virus. My computer is old, so it glitches out sometimes, but never any viruses.

An old computer of mine once got a very special virus that erupted some time during the summer of last year. It was called the "FBI" virus. Now i'm not sure if any of you have heard of said virus before but it was a very nasty one that was launched. At the time I was employed in a computer repair shop. This was one of the most annoying viruses ever to get. o not only was I fixing it for customers I was also addressing it myself. What this virus is or does for the most part is it executes a .Exe file that is typically hidden among the local temporary files folder or sometimes even in the Win32 which made it risky to track down. When it ran it would create a document like program that would block you out of using your computer the minute it reach your login or windows.

The document was made to look like a legitimate FBI document of some sorts with a built in webcam port to it so if you had a webcam it would activate and put you in the little box as if you were being watched by them.  For the most part it read that you were looking at illegal pornography dealing with bestiality or children and you had a certain amount of money to pay them to save yourself, ect..ect..

This was a virus that couldn't be killed by conventional means. By that I mean sometimes Safe Mode and a regular virus removal program didn't solve much for you. It was a simple easy virus to get rid of but the problem is that it replicated itself and was really dug into the computer files. So when you believed you got rid of it it would show back up again and again. It was chaos. Many customers that would show up at the shop would be in a panic saying they didn't do anything while i've heard that some people actually fell for it and sent money to whatever address was present on the "document".

This was problem one of the craziest nuisance viruses I had to deal with for quite awhile. Though, as of late, I haven't seen or heard much about that virus since then so hopefully it's been killed off completely or most anti-virus programs updated to the point wher eits blocking it out permanently.

The time when I got sweetpacks and it took up 1,000,000 kb on my computer, and it made it super slow and would crash it every couple minutes. I deleted it, but somehow it stayed and it came back. I then deleted it and I keep doing it to this day. My computer doesn't crash as much, and it is a whole lot faster!

One of the most weirdest computer virus I got was Ransomware a couple months ago, if you don't know what Ransomware is, it's a virus that goes around, once you get it, it'll lock your computer down and a fake FBI page pops up saying that you're charged for illegal copyright laws and child porno and have to pay a fine of us$300 by using a certain debit card. Lucky it was a fake and got the computer fixed, and it's back to normal.

This one was a LONG time ago. The virus made your PC play 'Yankee Doodle Dandy' at midnight through the PC speaker. For those who are too young to know, before sound hardware was standard on a PC, they would have 1 speaker mounted in your case capable of very rudimentary sounds. Back in the old DOS days it was quite scary when your computer did something that you didn't tell it to do.

I have no idea what virus it was, but if a complete virus scan was done, it would leave until the computer is restarted, it kept installing itself...What it did was, it would play advertisements through the speakers, all day, everyday. e_e It also played forigen ads also. Most of them were in Spanish, Chinese, Russian, French, and Japanese. But sometimes it would play English also. We eventually gave up and bought a new computer.

Personally I've never gotten a virus but in my line of work I deal with them a lot, the scariest one for people it makes it look like the RCMP (Canadian) locked down your PC and it wants you to pay $100 to unlock it, its kinda funny if you have a web cam it will take a picture of you and put it in the temp so its always a really funny still image of people freaked out when they see it.
the worst on these days I deal with is one called Conduit and oh man dose it suck it makes your home page look like a Google toolbar with a big add under it, it'll take forever to get rid of and just fills your PC with spy ware.

palin112 : Those are my favorite viruses where they would play spooky sounds randomly! I wish they would still design those, there pretty neat

When I was little, I'd get viruses on my computer all the time. They were really bad, they completely destroyed the computer. I would need to get a new computer every year or two. Luckily, I've figured out how to avoid getting viruses pretty well now. There was one time, for some reason, that my computer would get a virus if I downloaded any files. I tried downloading something off of Microsoft.com that gave my computer a bad virus, It took a week or so to get rid of it.
