   I only have two short years of high school left (And boy do those years go by fast) and I have made the decision to go to  nursing school after I am done high school.  I think it would be a cool thing to do, and I believe it would suit me well.  I am a male too, and they aren't as common in the nursing work place, so what do you think?  What do you think of male nurses?

To stay on topic... I have absolutely no problem with male nurses. In fact, one of my dad's friends (male) is a nurse. I don't think I know anyone who doesn't like the idea of a male nurse.

MoblinGardens : Male Nurses are actually being seen a lot more frequently. There's nothing wrong with it at all. Men are just as capable of doing the job as women, it would be a really good choice for you. But as with most things in the medical field, you will have to study hard and really apply yourself in nursing school, its not just a breeze.

I agree though, you will need to study hard and do well though because anything in the medical field will require hard work and dedication to studying. So I think you should go for it, or whatever you feel comfortable with doing.

In my honest opinion it shouldn't matter what age race sex etc you are to do something you love. If you want to be a male nurse go for it. As long as you do a good job, love doing what you do, and you aren't just there to get a pay check then all I can say is go for it!

They are just as good as any other nurse. Not to sound sexist but there are situations where male nurses are better to have because of their strength. Some people are bigger than others and the physical strength of a male nurse is beneficial in these situations.
