Here's a new monthly competition to join the current 2, 'VCS - CP Edition'. This will take place every 3 months (August, November, February, May) and will be based on CP earned. It'll work almost the same way as the VCS that takes place every 3 months. I've already made the page for it and it can be viewed here:

The month after the Tour de Vizzed always feels sorta dead so I think this will help liven things up. This will help give CP a little more recognition and value and hopefully this encourages users to earn CP.

I originally wanted to add a new Jersey to the Tour de Vizzed which would be based on CP earned but some users didn't like that idea so this new idea is a great alternative.

The cool thing about this competition is that everyone has a shot. Not everyone is into posting huge amounts and many users contribute in other ways. This new competition will give everyone a chance to become a little competitive and to earn some recognition. The staff really benefit from this competition which is great because a lot of the top users in the VCS and TdV aren't staff so this is kind of like a way to reward the staff for doing what they do every day.

I'm open to the possibility of a name change for this competition. To be honest, I don't even know what VCS (originally ACS) stands for and I think there's only 1 user on this site who knows:

Moderators : Who wants to be in charge of hosting this next month? Preferably someone with VCS hosting experience. We could even add a team competition for this too and base the teams on power level, it'd be fun to see which group of users earn the most CP. We can definitely offer a big Viz payout for this, especially since it's the first month for this competition.

This is great way of getting a lot of work done in the RGR. Good idea! Though I won't come close to winning, it seems like a fun competition.

Davideo7 : I was wondering what that stood for, too XP. Maybe it stands for Vizzed Competition Season? Anyway, I want to get caught up on my work after maintenance, so I'll pass. As for a name, what about 'CP Olympics'. That seems fitting, as there are so many different ways to earn CP.

Wow, that did not make sense.

This is a great Idea it would get people to contribute alot more to the site or at least a lot more to the site then what they already do. But would all contribution actions that are available count to towards ultimately winning this VCS CP edition or will only certain contributions actions count?

Hmm... would the VCS CP Edition have different categories based on what is being contributed, like the current VCS has different categories based on how you post? If so, what would those categories be? And would CP multipliers be taken into account, or would the competition only track the base CP? (Users would still earn the full CP from their actions.)

I ask because having a competition based solely on the total amount of CP earned over a day and over a month would be bland, and there are many ways users contribute to the site, plus you have to keep things fair; not everybody on the site has 1.75x or 2x multipliers like some of our very hard working, very dedicated staff.

VCS stands for Vizzed Championship Series.rnrnrnAs for who would win this.... the site staff will dominate without question. I guess triune would also do well because he does RGR stuff but there is no way the local mods will stand a chance without doing lots of RGR stuff. The CP system is skewed so heavily in their favor that this is basically a competition for site staff.

Oh I must of missed that. In some if the mega competitions you let us compete but we couldn't get the cash prize. (And in one a staff member cane in first and second ) I guess I should of said that differently. 

True, we(mods) don't stand a chance unless we're doing some rgr stuff as well, which is in my case very unlikely to happen. I'm always here lurking around the board and I just visit the rgr room once in awhile.

Anyway, if no one else would like to host the VCS-CP edition, I'll be glad to host it.

Yes, anyone can compete, but staff has a huge advantage, and those at lower ranks have a disadvantage. The higher up in rank you go, the more CP actions you can do per day.

I'm not against it, I like the idea, but I do have those concerns.

I don't have any experience hosting, but I'm there.

ender44 : Thanks for making your post in this thread I didn't know staff could do more CP actions then regular members.

Upon learning this I could see a gradually unfair advantage if staff competes unless David levels it out for the duration of the competition so that staff can do just as many actions as regular members. If that doesn't come into play then this doesn't seem as fair for regular members but that just means it would be harder for us regular members to out do the staff. 

Hmm... maybe we could have something like "VCS-CP non-staff edition" and "VCS-CP staff edition". xD

How about a competition between the ranks? Since site staff will probably make the most CP, hey should compete against each other. The mods could compete against each other, and the other users can compete against each other.
