Well, hello everyone. I just wanted to make a small thread about some new ideas for tour de vizzed and the future VCS. Mainly about being DQ'd. 

Well, firstly, I think it would be better if there were some kind of advanced posting stats that counts the amount of posts you make in each forum per day. Like it shows a circle graph or something like that. And then it also shows the percentage of each forum you post in for today. For example: 50% in the general chat forum, 25% in the vizzed market forum . . . etc. And then when one of the percentages gets too high, the percentage would be in red text and you would receive an automated notification warning you about being DQ'd from tour de vizzed or VCS. And if you are already in the risk of being DQ'd then it will tell you how much posts should you make in a certain forum to even out the high percentage.

That would honestly help people and make them more aware of being DQ'd from tour de vizzed and VCS. Thats all the ideas I have at the moment.

mohammedroxx3 : I don't really think A thread/ suggestion Is needed lol, I'm just saying. Dq's happen a lot less often than you think, Dq's don't really Happen all that much. When they do happen, that's usually  because people are trying to go all post crazy when trying to win this thing, It's simple as that they spam and don't choose very well in which fourms they constantly post in,  No matter what you try to suggest, dq's need to be more happening,  no  matter what The tdv is always some kind of competetion that people look to cheat. I'm not trying to be mean, but I'm just telling you how it is lol.

If i have an idea, I would post this.. Try to be more selective of where you are posting,  now in general posting is not a bad thing, if you try to be more selective, that will get you less dqed, and that would help people and mods not seeing names everywhere, in certain thread places.

This kinda seems unnecessary... If you just use the posts by forum page and a little math you can easily figure it out. 

earthwarrior : Oh wow. . . Epic fail for me, if only I noticed that earlier. But still, no one really looks at that often so I guess an automated notification that warns you for being DQ'd would still help.

Although it is nice to see member that actually cares about the rules and liked to see them followed when it comes to posting, this thread is a little pointless, David stated the rules in all the threads pertaining to the TDV and if you follow them then you wouldn't get DQ'ed in the first place , and the rules are in the faq's in the help center.

mohammedroxx3 : I'll comment on your suggestions.

1) By going to a persons profile, scrolling to the bottom, and clicking posts by forum, you can automatically see their number of posts in any forum over the last 24 hours.

2) I don't think a circle graph is necessary. It's fairly easy to calculate the percentage of posts per forum, so there really is no need for it.

3) The notifications seem unnecessary. A person should already know whether or not they are spamming a forum; they shouldn't need to an automated message to warn them about it.

4) If they are at risk of being DQ'd, an automated messaging them about whet forums to post in to even it out would make no sense because it would more than likely state all but 1 or 2 forums, which would be both pointless and probably annoying.

I do appreciate that you are giving suggestions and such for making the TdV and VCS better, but alot of these suggestions would clutter notifications and complicate the system that David has developed furthermore. I'll keep this open in case there's more to this, but the TdV is probably good the way it is.

Yeah, I mean they mainly happen because people bump old threads and go on a posting spree for easy questions and stuff in certain forums. Like abc games or elimination games are very common and popular in each forum and a lot of users will use them for posting spree material.


I do however think that this is a great idea and it can narrow down the amount of dqs even lower or down to none. I like the idea of getting a notification so you know in advance which forums you have posted the most in. I like the idea of charts. I think you can already see which forums you post in, it is on your profile at the bottom and you can see where you post throughout the day. But I like this idea and I think it would be great. This is a great idea though! I think users already know how the system works and how to avoid dqs but they are careless and they going a posting spree unaware of the rules. But I really like this idea though!

Barathemos : lol, I get what you mean. He he. Just like how someone gets a ticket for parking in a wrong spot and having to pay for it. How about if someone spams, then vizzed would issue them a Viz fine. For example, "-200 Viz for spamming in the vizzed market forum."

This is a funny idea. but I sort of like it.

Yea, that would probobly work, people don't want to pay a bunch of vizzed. It is a good idea.

thing1 : uh oh, what have I done? lol, just kidding. The spammers will probably be mad at me for bringing up this idea but they are spammers so sucks for them. At least people would stop spamming more often now. he he he, I didn't expect someone to even summon david for this idea. 

Heh, Viz fines and tickets, I sort of like it.

If you lose point in the competition when you get a dq why should you lose Viz for it? Losing 200 Viz isn't a huge punishment considering Viz is pretty much worthless...

earthwarrior : Well, Viz isn't worthless for some or actually maybe most users though. And that idea was a joke but thing1 took it seriously.

But it could still help stop spam but I don't really want this idea to be implemented though. I hope david doesn't like this idea. But even if this idea become implemented then it will teach spammers a lesson I guess, lol. Why did thing1 summon him?

earthwarrior : Well, then you would rise it. How about if you spam, it costs you  247,739? The spammers need to learn a lesson.

Barathemos : I have gotten a better idea! How about Viz fines like -25% Viz or for big spam -50% viz, he he. Because I guess negative Viz or Viz that goes below zero would be a little too harsh. Getting Viz below zero should only be for bans in my opinion, lol.

It's a good idea and I'll look into doing something like that sometime in the future when I have more time.
