sonicbros : Like what I explained in our PM, it has nothing to do with hate and I don't think people think that you are tooting your horn. I think the issue is that you actually don't know how you are actually breaking the Ten Commandments. Jesus made this affirmation that everyone has broken God's law when he said that "there is none good but one" (Mark 10:18) and it doesn't matter if you break just one of the Ten Commandments, even if it means once. If you break one, you break them all. It is also written that "whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it." (James 2:10) God takes sin that seriously.

That's the whole point of Christianity. You come to Christ not because you were really good, but because you were really bad, and that is why there is a need of a savior. The Ten Commandments don't show how much we can keep, but show how much we CANNOT keep, how sinful we are. Just to illustrate that, we go back to the Ten Commandments and what you wrote. Examine yourself again (The White is what you wrote):

Thou shalt have no other Gods before me (Of course not)

It doesn't have to be gods from other religions. Anything can be made as a "god." Do you spend more time on something than God? Does something in your life you feel that is irreplaceable instead of God? That is your god.

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image (Never did that)

Idols are not just some golden statue. Anything that you put more focus on than God or His Word will be considered idolatry. Any type of addiction that you had in your life? It could be something as simple as putting TV or work as a big part of your life instead of putting God first in your life. Those can be your gods or idols of your life. An example of this would be like the rich young ruler who can't sell his belongings, because he loves money.

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain (I have other words)

So anything that is using God's name in vain. This doesn't just include what you say dishonors God's name, but also anything that is done in God's name that does not represent what God is for counts as using God's name in vain.

Remember the Sabbath (Of course)

Going to church is one thing, taking part in church is another. The whole point of the Sabbath is that you can rest and make that one day special for God. When you are at church, is your mind somewhere else? Were you thinking about something else rather than worshiping God?

Honour thy father and thy mother (With all my heart and soul I do,hard for some to believe that I had a good upbringing and never have problems with my parents)
You can relatively say if you were a good kid, but when you say never, it means that you never disobeyed what your parents said or told you to do.

Thou shalt not kill (I know I have never broken this one)

Here is what Jesus said: "who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment" (Matthew 5:22) Here, Jesus is talking about unjust anger. John reaffirms this later on, saying that anyone who hates his brother is a murderer (1 John 3:15). So have you ever hated anyone or was angry at someone unjustly?

Thou shalt not commit adultery (Not me,but someone broke this commandment against me)

Most people think that adultery is an outside physical thing, but Jesus said that if you look at someone to lust after someone, you've committed adultery in the heart. (Matthew 5:28) Have you looked at someone to lust after them?

Thou shalt not steal (No,no reason to steal anything, and had no reason to as a child)

Doesn't matter the value of what you steal or how often you did it.

Thou  shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour (No problems there)

This means lying. Trying to deceive others. Have you ever lied to anyone or distort truth?

Thou shalt not covet (Maybe someone nice can define this commandment to me,but as far as I know I do not covet anything)

Covet means to want something a lot. We are talking about a greedy type of want, that you want something that someone has for yourself. It's want for selfish reasons.

So, now that you look at these commandments again, ask yourself if you have kept all of these commandments.

Of course I have.. I think everyone in the world breaks the ten commandments if not one all of them and if not once many times at that. We as humans all make mistakes and that is why God died on the cross for us, so that we may repent and be forgiven. I used to not obey or honor my father or mother ever. I caused trouble all the time and said horrible things.. disobeyed and I regret all of it. I am forgiven by the grace of God though and I plan on keeping my self in the right by respecting my elders. Everyone makes mistakes in life it's just the way humanity is.

I am going to be honest here, I have broken at least half of the commandments including Thou Shall Not Steal, Honor Your Father and Mother, Do not use God's name in vain, etc. I haven't killed anyone, but I kill bugs on a daily basis, so I don't know if they count, as they are God's creation. Luckily though, on this day in history, Jesus took our sins and we can be forgiven for these actions, as I have asked. I try my best to do what the Bible says, but I come up short, as all of us do. That is another reason why Jesus took the sins of all of us.

I have all the time and I don't really care. I don't believe in Christianity and haven't for quite a while. Mainly the god's name in vain but I wouldn't do that in front of Christians. It isn't nice mocking people's religions and beliefs.

I have broken 9 out of 10 commandments. Or if you count that I once killed a mouse who was in the trash bag then I have broken all of them.

Well I'm going to be real. Yes I have broken a commandment. I will be honest I am not perfect. What I am is a sinner who has accepted Christ into his heart. That is why we need Jesus is because none of us are perfect. Romans chapter 3 sums it up best. But when we accept Jesus as our savior and repent we are saved by Grace.

sonicbros: Honestly, I don't remember if I broke one. The fifth one, 'Honor your father and mother', well sometimes I do get in trouble with my parents. Sometimes they think I'm the guilt one in a situation which is not true. But I do forgive them of course. I respect the ten commandments, trying my best to not break any of them. I will always believe in God.

sonicbros : No offense, man; but I do not see this even as a question. I believe that we have all broken ALL the commandents. If you broke one--James tells us this--you broke them all. James says "And the person who keeps every law of GOD but makes one little slip is just as guilty as the person who has broken every law there is..." We are all born under the curse of sin and innately are sinful. Therefore, I'm sorry, but we all broke one of the commandments. I'm sorry, but GOD says that it does not matter to HIM which one. They are all HIS commands. Even if it is what we consider a little white lie. Because the same GOD who says 'thou shalt not kill' is the same one who says 'thou shalt bear false witness against thy neighbour'. Modern translation: you shall not lie. To HIM, they are all one and the same.

After I posted my reply...I realized that someone had already given an answer given along these lines. Sorry about that, I did not mean to be redundant.

sonicbros : I will close this thread, but with a final word. Sonic, that's the point of the Ten Commandments! The Ten Commandments are meant to show how bad we all are. No one has kept the Moral Law and God uses the Law to show that to us. But this should also bring us to that Good News, the Good News is that Jesus took the punishment for that we deserve. When we have faith in Christ, when put our trust in what He did on the cross, Jesus took our place and saved us for all that we have done, while also changing our heart to become more and more like Him, to seek holiness. But we would only be willing to come to Christ and to put our faith in Him if we are humble and say we cannot be good and we cannot kept the commandments on our own.
