For the past few years now, I've hosted a Fantasy Football League on Yahoo for Vizzed members. Here's the winnings for this year:
1st: 50,000 Viz
2nd: 25,000 Viz
3rd: 10,000 Viz


If you were part of the league from last year, renew your team by responding to the email I sent you through the league.

If your new, than it'll cost 10,000 Viz to join the league. Send me the Viz and the yahoo email address you want to use. You'll need a yahoo account to join so if you don't have one, you'll have to create one.


This year we're going to have a manual draft and the order of the manual draft will be in order of last year's losers first. The registration closes next Monday, the 24th of June so that we can begin the manual draft. The league URL is http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/league/vizzed


What is Fantasy Football?
For those not familiar with Fantasy Football, it's based on the NFL, you pick players who you think will score the most points each week. Points are scored based on the position; example: Quarterback throws for certain amount of yards is worth a point. It's a lot of fun and anyone can join even if you have no idea how to play, you'll learn as it progresses. If you do sign up, please say what your team name is so that we know who is who.

Rules
I can change the rules upon requests. You'll be able to view the specific details of the rules on the Sign Up page. We need between 8 and 16 people for the league (maximum of 20).

Start and End Date
The League Starts September 5th, which is when the NFL regular season starts. It ends during Week 16 of the NFL, which is December 23rd.

Do you have a specific date for the draft? As far as I know, any day would be fine. The best time for me would probably be 5 PM central time. Good luck to everyone to plays this year .

megamanmaniac : It'll start on June 24th and I expect that it'll take 1-2 months to complete. Basically I'll create a thread and let users take turns saying who they want.

Er. David, not only I got a chance to join(InvertedCaps), but legacyme3(Team Zebra) joined as well. So if we are going to do a manual draft, how is he going to draft his team or be involved?

My family does this each and every year(private 4 team league and have been doing this since... wow 2003 or so). Kind of cool to find a gaming site that does it too. Unfortunate that I don't have the Viz or I might join in on this(and no pity Viz either(will not accept)). Oh well... maybe next year ill have enough. Btw, isn't June a bit early to be having a draft? A lot can happen during Training Camp and Pre-Season with respect to injuries and roster changes(HoF game is August 4th).

I think you should kick anyone who joins and doesn't post in this thread who they are. Remember what happened last year with Raveniz and a couple of other teams? I just don't want a repeat of last season.

Yeah, I guess we need to do an online draft, which involves everyone to participate to represent their team. Well, that makes it a bit more fun drafting, and gets more chance to it.

Davideo7 : I saw the email yesterday for the league I just haven't set my team up yet. I'm in as long as we can adjust the stats like we talked about last year.

Would be nice if INTs were at least -2 or -3 points for QB's. Also in other leagues QB passing TD's are 5 or 6 points, not 7.

Can we do the draft sometime in August? I would hate to do it before training camp even starts.

Also, why can't we just use Yahoo's Manual draft process? I'm pretty sure you can select the draft order as the commish

Can we not have a 20 team league this year?  Last year was ruthless.

Jordanv78 : Right now TDs are 4 points and INTs are -1. I'd like to keep the settings the way they are since they are the settings I've always used. What manual draft are you referring to?

pacman1755 : We'll do either a Live Online or Autopick. The offline draft would've been fun too but that's not going to be possible. So I'm thinking we'll do a Live Online draft, maybe scheduled for sometime next month.

mlb789 : We'll see what happens. It'll be either 16, 18 or 20 but I'll shoot for 16.

I have a question, how does this manual draft you mentioned on your post works? Depending on how it is, I may have big lag problems, is there a way to make it like last year, the automatic draft?

Seishiro Leonhart : Users want us to do a live draft which requires all of us to be present at the time. Not to sure how well that is going to work out though but we can try doing something like that.
