Anyone here home schooled. I am and it kinda sucks.
Sure you can wake up when ever and move at your own pase but the lack of social contact is maddening. The worst thing is there aren't any girls in  my neighborhood below the age of 50. 
What are your thoughts on home school. If your  not home schooled would you like to be?

No, I am not home schooled, I don't think I would want to be because, like you said, I don't think I could stand the lack of social connection. It would be hard to bare, I may not like public school because a lot of people are jerks, but at least I can socialize with the friends that I do have. I don't think it would be the same if I was home schooled. I think it is funny though because my 2 next door neighbors were both homeschooled up until high school before going on the bus to lame public school, so I feel like an oddball. But I personally don't think I would like it very much.

No, I am not home school. I also wouldn't want to be either. Lets just say that if you were home schooled all through elementary. Then you all of a sudden started public school right in middle school. You wouldn't know how to act for a while you would be in more pressure because some teachers are stricter than home. I am home schooled, and while I agree the lack of social contact is terrible, I think my family and myself are more responsible for this fact. I want to do something but a lot of my time is wasted alone. Occasionally I'll meet someone, but rarely in a casual fashion, it's almost always something like bible quiz, swimming class, or some summer activity. I really wish I could do more sometimes.

I'm not home schooled, but I know people who are/were.  I don't think I would ever want to be home schooled because of the fact I'd be at home all day, there wouldn't be any sports, and I would be leaving all of my friends behind.  There also wouldn't be any girls  I would hate to be home schooled.

My mum and dad wanted to Home-school me but I asked to go to a public school since I wanted to meet people, I think I made a good decision since I made a lot of great friends by choosing so. Although there has been times in which I wished I picked to be home-schooled but I'm just going to have to stand by my choice for now. There isn't much that you could learn from being home-schooled that you couldn't learn from public schools anyway. Unless you fall behind that is.

I'm homeschooled, and I love it! I mean, I spend about 3-4 hours a day on school, and I don't have to start until 9am! 'Lack of social contact' can be solved by getting involved in extra-curricular activity. I got into hockey, trumpet, piano, etc.

After only 2 years of high school, I've got enough credits to graduate!

Therefore, being homeschooled  is a growing alternative for parents who can afford to do it. You get 1:1 attention and content tailored to your progress. On the flip-side, you get next to nothing when it comes to socializing and learning communication and other social skills. So there really is a give and take on this subject.

Okay, I will name some reasons I WANT to be homeschooled and not. But I am not homeschooled.

Anarchist64 : I was never home schooled. I had to get up at 5:15 be at the bus stop at 6:00 be at school at 7:30. This was tiring and boring especially since I stayed up til 1am. I would stay in school til 2:50 and not get home until 3:30. This was absolutely tiring. My brothers and sisters are all home schooled. They love it and it offers so much more than regular school. I wish I had this opportunity when I was in school though. I would have loved it.

So, yeah, my mother gave me more challenging work to do. The only good thing about being homeschooled was that instead of having recess, I would have video game breaks, and instead of working in school for multiple hours, I usually just finished everything up in about 2 hours (because I didn't have to wait for others to finish what they were doing).
