I do not mind at all that the plot has been the same for a continuous amount of time...there isn't much wrong with it seeing how Bowser is usually the main antagonist of Mario games, so I guess who else would capture Peach?
I agree with you on the point that Bowser should capture Peach in creative ways, ways that you would never think, but ways that aren't so cheesy and weird. 

This doesn't seem to bother a lot of people anyways, so I guess Nintendo is doing something right with these Mario games.

I really don't care about the way Bowser captures Peach, but after all of these kidnappings, you'd expect Bowser to be getting bored. Kidnapping Toad would be...entertaining!

Why should they change something if it doesn't need to be changed? Besides, does anyone play a Mario Game for the sole purpose of the plot? No. It's like the old saying goes, if it aint broke, don't fix it.

I would also like to point out that the ways he captures the princess HAS changed over the years. Take the Mario and Luigi games for example. Sure he captures her, but the story revolving around that is totally different.

   Considering that tradition has appeared in nearly every video game of Mario, I believe it should remain. Although, I do agree with you ROCKYROCKEST. Bowser should begin using multiple strategies to capture Princess Peach. I am positive that would intrigue a greater amount of players.

I never really play Mario for the plot but rather because it's such a familiar game. Of course, the current plot adds to that familiarity, but by all means, if there's a more interesting plot involving Mario in a game, I'd never turn it down due to the change.

Second, Bowser was listed as the best video game villain of all time in the Guinness Book of World Records 2013 Gamer's Edition. So, that plot is doing him good, actually.

It would be a unique story line for that game and that one only but then it will reappear in other mario games and other games with make spin-offs of it just like what happened to the first storyline. 
I mean who wants anything modern anyway. Don't we all still want memories for when Mario was actually good in the 80s and 90s.

Well, though I wouldn't be against a new plot, I think it works better when the plot is left to the games that benefit greatly from their plot, like the numerous RPG's. Platforming isn't a genre where you typically see tons of story anyway. If they ever do go the Galaxy route and go for even a minor plot twist I'd be more than happy with it, though.
