If your opponent fails to communicate with you on setting up your game, report them to this thread and you'll automatically get the win.

RULE UPDATE for the playoffs: In the playoffs, you play 2 games. If one of you wins both of those 2 games, that winner will advance on. If you both win 1 game each, you play 2 more games and if someone wins both of those 2 games, that person advances on. As long as you both keep winning 1 game each, you keep playing 2 more games until someone has finally won both games.

If you end up playing 2 more games, the 2 additional games cannot be the same games as the previous to games but the next 2 games can be the same as the previous games. So for example, if you end up playing 8 games, games 1 and 2 can be the same as games 5 and 6 but games 1 and 2 cannot be the same games as games 3 and 4. Likewise, games 3 and 4 can be the same games as games 7 and 8 but games 5 and 6 cannot be the same games as games 7 and 8 or 3 and 4.

ALSO, you are required to record all of your playoff matches. So one of the users of each match should make sure to record the games, either with the RGR Plugin or with an external program. Afterward, all of the videos of that matchup should be merged into a single video and uploaded to the vizzed account (you can use freemake to combine videos).



Here's the games you can choose from this week:

Chinese Checkers (nes)
Enable Joystick1 and Joystick2 but disable the computer (so it should be only 2 players and not 3). Play 1 match and whoever wins gets the win.

Columns III (gen)
Pick 1 on 1 and Best of 3. Whoever wins best out of 3 wins.

Super Mario Kart (snes)
Pick 2 Player on Mariokart GP. Play through any of the Cups on 50cc. Whoever didn't pick the game gets to choose character first and gets to pick the Cup. Whoever has the most points at the end wins.

Super Street Fighter II - The New Challengers (snes)
Keep attack level at default of 4 stars. Whoever didn't pick the game gets to choose character first. Best out of 5.

Donkey Kong (nes)
Play '2 Player Game A' or '2 Player Game B', whoever didn't pick the game gets to choose A or B. Play until both players run out or lives. Whoever has the highest score wins.
Tip: Game B is harder than Game A (I think).

Sonic 2 (gen)
Pick 2 Player VS. Play through 3 of the stages. Whoever didn't pick the game gets to choose which stages. Whoever wins the most stages wins that game.

D-Pad Hero 2 (nes)
Play 2 Player versus on Medium difficulty. Play best out of 5. Whoever didn't pick the game gets to choose the songs.
Tip: Player 1 has to get Blue and Player 2 has to get Red.

Every user has a number next to their name, that's their seed number. Your seed number is based on the number of points you earned during Week 1-8. Your seed number determines who you play in the playoffs. Low seeds will always play high seeds. So for example, the highest seed will play the lowest seed, the 2nd highest seed will play the 2nd lowest seed, and so on.

Davideo7 : Is there by any chance that we can have a complete bracket diagram designed for this playoffs. Those who knows who moves on might want to see how the rest of the tournament goes as well as wanting to know their next opponent. 

Also, do you expect someone from each matchup to record their games? I think I've discussed with you before that I might have some use with those footage.

rcarter2 : Looks like it's just you and me to fight to the death. You got a time to set for this?

play4fun : Read my 1st post, the user you play next week is all based on your seed number. This is very similar to how a lot of professional sports work, such as the NFL. The benefit of scoring a lot of points during the regular season is that you play easy teams during the playoffs, that's sorta like your reward for doing good. This is also a good way to try and get the 2 best users to play each other in the final matchup. If the 2 best users eliminated each other right away, that takes away from a possibly really good final matchup.

I really encourage users to record their sessions, in fact I might make that required. I'm going to update my post.

Also, re-read my post, I just added a rules update for the playoff matchups.

I were thinking how the seed numbers were generated, but now I know.

Well, it looks like I will be in trouble about recording the match, since I can't record matches (blame my freezer computer), but that doesn't mean I am unable to play the games.

Seishiro Leonhart : Just try and see if gAmerase can record. If you're both unable to record than that's fine but as long as 1 of you are able to record, than please record.

Tonight I'm not really going to be able to play. Tomorrow and Wednesday, I can play anytime after 8pm server.

From Thursday through the weekend I am very flexible because I am on vacation from work. So if you give me a little notice I can probably play during a reasonable hour.

play4fun : All I know for sure is that it has to be BEFORE Friday. We are finishing up moving to an new place on Friday, and the place I am moving to will not have Internet for a while. 

Davideo7 : Ok, you can definitely do that and it does make the seeding a lot more important for the rest of the tournament.

but technically....

The bracket placement in professional sports is also important, because they all start off with 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, etc, but the next round doesn't necessarily follow that rule due to where they are in the brackets. It may not seem apparent in the NFL because they only have wild cards, semifinals, conference finals and finals, but if you look at the NBA bracket or the March Madness bracket, the seeding only affects the first round. The rest depends on how the brackets are placed.

Obviously we are doing your rule on the tournament.....we just won't be able to have good looking brackets to look at.

earthwarrior : Hey I forgot I have people coming over for the Blackhawks game tonight. Is there any way that we can move our game to tomorrow? Tomorrow I can play anytime after 5pm.

If today is the only day you have time, I can still fit you in, It would just be more convienient to move it. Let me know either way.

play4fun : I might be able to put some sort of bracket together in week 11, maybe even in week 10 depending on who eliminates who.

It is possible to take a guess who you might play next week. If you win, you'll probably end up playing yoshirulez, unless he loses. If yoshirulez loses his game, than you might play ExciteBikeFan14 or gfool3.14, depending on which of those 2 win their games and if both win, I'm thinking you'd end up playing ExciteBikeFan14.

Once I automate these tournaments, I can create a script that figures out all the possible scenarios for each users who makes the playoffs.
