Usually for me its from my friends. But like today it was from the Simpsons episode: Weekend at Burnsie's. The song was Incense And Peppermints by strawberry alarm clock. Lol great episode. I heard a song on there, searched what it was on Google and downloaded.

Yeah it will usually be one of my friends listening to it and then they hand an earphone to me and if it is something that I have never heard before then I ask them about it and the artist playing and if they are good. Some artists music are really good and others not so much but nevertheless I do pick up on a wide variety of songs and music because it is popular and everybody has it on some device. But some of the songs are trash and they don't make any sense, I try not to waste my time with songs like that no matter how popular they may be with everyone else because some raps and other stuff is like 90 swearing, with the exception of eminem, I like his songs%.

I live 30 minutes southeast of Atlanta and they just discontinued the last rock station in my area and replaced it with...guess what?...a country station!  All the stations around here only consist of country, rap, or pop.  Absolutely NO rock anymore.  I have the Pandora app on my iphone, however.  I was a Tool fan when I started Pandora, and I found A Perfect Circle, Chevelle, Rage Against the Machine, and Def Tones.  That's all I listen to anymore...the songs I have on my iphone and Pandora radio.  But I'm satisfied with that, no problem.  I actually kind of expected it...I mean I live just outside the ATL, so the first two genres of music that people will think of is country and rap.  But I'm from New Jersey, and I've never even heard of them before I moved down here.

Most of the time, I find new artists on the radio. It's not the best way, since most of the time it takes a few hours of searching to find a really good song I heard (It took me a few days to find Centerfold again), but it's at least the most efficient in most circumstances.

Though, for a quicker route, I can just ask a friend or two for some pretty good bands. 99% of my friends have the same tastes in music as me, so it's no trouble at all. In fact, I found one of my current top favorite bands, Fit For Rivals, through the help of a friend.

I find my music from a few different places.
Mainly its from Idobi Radio, an online alt rock station that I love a lot but the rest of it comes from bands that are signed to the same record label as some of my favorite bands
