I'm thinking about buying New Super Mario Bros 2 for the 3ds. Right now it costs about $30. (about 23 euros I think) I think in about another year I can get it for a little cheaper.
So my question is should I wait and get it later and save a little money or should I get it now?
If the game is really good then i'll get it now, but if it isn't that good i'll wait and buy a different game now. No matter what i'll still buy this Mario game.
What are your opinions?

I haven't played the game, but I was meaning to buy it for sometime now when I get a 3DS. I was seeing the videos on the game and it really interesting to try out on. So I can say, I do want to get the game because it'll be worth in.

So the answer to your question, I have to say yeah.

It is a good game but not as good as the others though I got pretty sick of collecting the dang coins after a while which is actually what they focused on this time around.

I honestly don't know it is entirely up to you it is your money not mine just go with what ever you feel like getting whether it is Super Mario Bros. 2 or not.

I think you should get it. It's a good game, but I find I don't play it anymore. A permanent rage quit, I guess. I had beaten the game one hundred percent on three files. Then I guess dirt or something got in the cartridge, so when I turned it on I got a notification saying:

"Data could not be recovered. Deleting all saved data in five... four... three... - "

At that point I turned my 3DS off and tears almost sprang to my eyes. I had spent hours and hours wasting all my time to get every star coin and complete the game one hundred percent.

To say the least, I was annoyed.

To be honest, I thought it was the best New Super Mario Bros game. The game is just loaded with coins and that greatly adds to the satisfactions that the game offers. Compared to the DS, Wii and Wii-U versions, I think the 3DS version is definitely the best. The only reason I got more enjoyment out of the Wii and Wii-U versions was because of their co-op modes but when it comes to just single player, the 3DS is by far the best. Actually the 3DS version does support co-op if you have 2 copies of the game (and of course 2 3DS's) but I haven't had the opportunity to experience that yet.

Out of all my 3DS games, it's also probably my favorite. And although I don't have many 3DS games, the ones I do have include: Mario Kart 7, Tetris, Super Monkey Ball 3D, Brain Age, Epic Mickey (although not opened yet) and of course New Super Mario Bros 3D.

One last thing to point out about New Super Mario Bros 3D, it has downloadable content for the Coin Rush mode. Now the content does cost money but one of the sets that you can download has levels based on levels from Super Mario Bros and Super Mario Bros 3, which is just awesome.

Davideo7 : How good is Mario Kart 7? I have been meaning to get it, but I don't know if it is worth it considering I already play (and love) Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed. How does it compare to that?

In my opinion it is a great game, and there is something you can always do thanks to the new coin rush mode. I got it when it first came out and I'm still playing it to improve my coin rush so you can always do something. Also I don't believe the price will go to much lower in a year, because it is part of the Mario series and those games rarely go down in price and even when they do it is such a minimal amount you might as well have gotten the game sooner and most games usually give out promotions all throughout the first year so if you wait you may miss those.

And I have it and I think you should get it. You get about 100 coins per level, it looks epic in 3 dimensional mode, great game overall.

Tails the Fox : Next to the Wii version of Mario Kart, it's probably the most frustrating Mario Kart game. I've been a fan of the Mario Kart series since the SNES but compared to Sonic All Star Racing, it's not as good. Mario Kart 7 is still fun, and it adds a few new items and has lots of coins that you can collect but it's just an overall frustrating game that you might not come back to playing after you've tried out all the tracks.

earthwarrior : I agree that the replay value is low on Mario Kart 7.

To stay on topic, New Super Mario Bros 2 is a very easy game actually, but still fun. You get loads of coins, loads of lives, and loads of items. If you fail at beating a level too many times, you get an optional item which basically makes you invincible (of course you don't have to take it). The real challenge is finding and obtaining all 3 star coins on each level, so if you want a challenge, you'd want to do that. The Coin Rush mode can also be very challenging.

I think it's a great game and you should buy it soon. It's a lot easier because if you die a lot of times in a level, you get the gold raccoon power which makes you invincible for the entire level. However, I'm kind of mad that Nintendo didn't make any new music for the game, they just re-used almost every sound effect and soundtrack from New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Other than the whole re-used sound thing, it's one of the best Mario games I've ever played.

I haven't bought it yet, I'm planning to on my birthday though. Personally, I think you should buy it. Collecting all the coins seems too repetitive, but you'll probably get them all before you beat the entire game.

I haven't bought it, but I feel like the game is pretty interesting. It brings back the high score feature, and its based around collecting coins. I think it is worth competing with friends for the high score with.
