To be honest, I can only name maybe... a few games off of my head without thinking about it, but overall... here are a few games that deserve a 2-player mode (and not just sharing the same controller or some other BS)

-Romance Of The Three Kingdoms (PS1 and earlier)

-Earthbound (Like come on, why not be Ness & Lucas 2-player mode)

-Legend of Dragoons (Hey, you already have a party of like 3 people... why not make one of them your best friend?)

-Final Fantasy (PS1 and earlier) (A lot of these games actually would be pretty amusing to have a partner that actually did something... most of the AI partners tend to do nothing unless you control them)

-King's Field (The entire series) (Why not have two people teaming up, instead of just one... I mean heck, you die fast enough as it is... help would be appreciated)

I'm sure many of these games would just get weird if that option was available but like come on, a lot of these games would actually be just all fun and games when playing with a friend... that way you two can come up with strategies and such for the games.

How about you... what game(s) do you think should have any sort of 2-player option... whether its co-op or head-to-head?

Dragons Dogma. So the you don't have to really on a party of mages to heal you.
Metriod: Other M. Like an arena battle for multi-player, they've done it in MPH so why not this one?
Maybe even Sims. Come on you never thought it would be neat to make a house with someone else.
That's all I can really think of. I'm content with the AI in other games.

Secret of Evermore. Now, to be fair, they did make a rom hack where it's two-player. But that doesn't count. I played the original game, so yeah. Their's also a ton others, but for the life of me, I can't remember them.

While it did actually have two player, it was pretty crappy multipleyer: Castlevania Portrait of Ruin would be great to have a full castle co-op mode.
Sonic Generations should have had a Sonic Adventure 2 style multiplayer in it, that would have tipped it that bit more.

There should be a pokemon game where it is co op and you can do missions with people.
But you can choose your server or the other persons server.
It's global as well.

A game that I would have thought that would have been amazing to have a multi-player feature would be Just Cause 2 for the PS3, XBOX360 and the PC.  It would be great to roam around the word doing cool things with your friends.  It would be super awesome.  I'm sure if anyone else has played this game, they would say the same thing.

A RPG that supports multiplayer in my opinion wouldn't be very good but I think Metroid Prime corruption 3 would have a great multiplayer. They could have two modes Vs mode and a team mode where perhaps you could fight a boss as a team or even better yet a campaign that could be multiplayer just like Halo.Player one could be Samus and player two could be a fellow hunter just like they had in Metroid Prime 3.

Technically, Super Mario 64 already is in 2-player. You can play it in the RGR!

EDIT: the link I pasted is pretty much invisible. It's right below my the first sentence in the post.

PacmanandMariofan : No, we mean naturally... as in  you don't have to download anything to make it two player. Like, imagine you owned a N64 and you had that game... all you would have to do is turn the game on and instead of playing it one player, you could select a 2-player option.

Oh, well then I would want any of the Angry Birds games to be in 2-player co-op. Imagine how much better that would be... and it wouldn't be quite as hard to beat with another person helping you, probably.

I think Pokemon games really deserve a two player option and not just the Entralink introduced in 5th gen. I mean a true two player mode where you can stick together and do double battles together or go off on your own and come back to each other to battle or trade. I think this would be the most amusing thing ever mostly because me and my brother always get one version of the new games and try to stay in the same spot and two player would make this experience so much better.

Double Dragon on the NES should of had a 2-player co-op mode. Instead we got a crappy one on one fighting game for 2-player. The Master System version had 2-player, so what excuse does the NES have.

One game that should have a 2-player option should be Bioshock Infinite.  I might get some disagreements but I don't mean competitive multiplayer, I mean like the campaign with co op.  It would make the game more interesting in my opinion.  I never played the multiplayer in Bioshock 2
