The thing that gets me is that they are marketing this for gamers, but instead is just a media center littered with fees. Some pros are only gotten by spending MORE money on the system, which is a con in itself. We have games for the XBox and XBox 360 that are awesome and that we don't want to get rid of. If I had a 360, I'd rather keep that than the One. Plus, I already have a "Media Center", it's called my cable/internet provider plus my laptop.

We'll wait to see what games will indeed come out for this thing, but as it stands, I'd rather buy the PS4 or the 360 than this.

Well lets see the PS4 is cheaper and has no restrictions but the Xbox One it cost more and has a lot more restrictions than the PS4 so that means I will be buying the PS4 instead for it is a better deal.

The only cool thing Xbone has is Killer Instinct 2013; i can't wait to see the other characters!

I just watched a 90 minute video about this new Xbox One console, and the only thing I got out of it was TV. The reason why I have a living room in my house is so I can watch TV with my beautiful wife. The reason why I have a bedroom in my house is so I can go somewhere by myself and play games on my computer or PS3. I owned a Xbox 360 for about a year (after owning a PS3 ever since it came out) and got sick and tired of having to pay to play online. I thought it was insulting. I've already paid $200+ for the console and hundreds more on games, and you want to pay extra just to play online with friends, when I can play for FREE on the PS3? Its a no-brainer.

Xbox obviously doesn't care about gaming like Playstation does. I can't wait for the PS4 to come out, and frankly I don't want to hear the words "Xbox" again!

I personaly think it's getting better ever since the 180 they did today. I do think that it helps supports people who either want to start livestream ing or record videos and put them up on youtube.

The XBOX ONE is going to stink. No backwards compatibility, no used discs, more expensive than everything else, and of course the fact that you have to pay to play online. The XBOX 360 is pretty good, but I really feel like the XBOX ONE isn't going to sell very well.

I think the xbox one really blew it this time. The are going to lose a ton of sales, a ton of fans, and just overall the company will drop a bit. Sony is grabbing them by the horns.

They changed the DRM policies so long as you link up to the internet on Day One you update and your system is compatible with used games and the like. It's now just like a less exclusive's version of a Ps4. Just thought you might want to know that, if not I apologize for summoning you.
The Xbone is focusing on BIGGER SCREENS their screen width goes all the way up to 5K while the Ps4 deals with resolution. So Ps4 will be more HD while Xbone is bigger.
Ps4 will have Blu-Ray discs *most likely, not confirmed* while Xbone will have HD DVD's, an attempted HD DVD thing that competed with Blu-Ray movies and LOST heavily.

The voice commands on Xbox One is amazing. Does anyone know if the PS4 will also have voice commands?

I have been looking at the future console exclusives and they look amazing. Halo 5 is going to be great because I read in some Xbox magazine is going to be developed by Konami which is great, though we have to hope that it does not turn into a side scroller!!

I think what PS4 fan boys are missing is that the Xbox One games run at higher frame rates per second meaning game play is smoother and looks better. The PS4 has "better" graphics capabilities and yet it hasn't shown off what that can do so some how Xbox One games look better. Just take a look at Forza 5!!

Local Mods : Just curious, do we really need this thread anymore? This is in the Future Games and Consoles forum, and the XBOX ONE has already been out for quite awhile, actually. Same with the PS4 thread.

As far as I'm concerned, this thread is about the system itself and not the games on it. The creator of this thread is actually one of the mods here, so he might know what to really do.

MechaMento : The PS4 is actually the console that has higher frame rates. 60 frames per second and 1080p, in contrast to the Xbox One's 30 frames per second and 720p.

Also the PS4 has plenty of games that look amazing or better than the Xbox One, but it isnt fair to compare exclusive titles. Take a look at Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, and Call of Duty Ghosts, you'd notice better texture, better fitting to the screen, and more realistic lighting and shadows.

As for Halo 5, that's going to be a day one buy for me if I get a XBone in time, I can't wait, but I have better hopes out for Infamous or Drive Club. Also, when it was announced, the 343 Industries logo was very clear on the screens. Konami has no part in this game, and even if they did, I'd trust them to make an amazing first person shooter given how amazing the Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill series are. It would be a rediculous thought if they made it a SideScrolling-Shooter.

I'll be sure to buy an Xbox One, but it's clear that for somebody with a budget, and wanting worth from their buy instantly, I'm going to make the PS4 more of a priority.

alexanyways : Yikes looking back at that post is embarrassing! I was like a fanboy, using hoaxes to mock the PS4. 

I was excited when I read in a magazine that Halo 5 would be a Konami developed game but before I remembered to edit my post (probably never anyway) you pointed out that it was going to be developed by 343. 
I've been looking into this game a lot recently since I recently beat Halo 4 and of course I found that what I read must of been a typo.

Since that post I have been dedicated to PC gaming since I have got a better computer. I will still try to get an Xbox One for Halo, Forza and possibly Titan Fall if it turns out well but since I can access my PC at any time and not a console due to only having a tv in the front room, PC gaming is now my priority.

The only thing that may just turn me over to PS4 is if the theories and rumors for a NaughtyDog Crash Bandicoot are true. There was a sign in the background of a PS4 advert showing a shadowy figure of Crash Bandicoot pointing up to the Sony icon. The other exclusives don't bother me and you're right it isn't fair to compare exclusives especially if there are no games you can relate it to. I'm sure Gran Turismo 7 will look better than Forza 5 but personally I never liked anything after GT3 which is why I got the Xbox 360 so the developers have to do something amazing to turn me over back to sony.

The thing with the Gran Turismo series is that it's a driving simulator, not a racing simulator, so it never really interested me, I'd personally go with Forza.

I love the Sony exclusive beyond the Xbox exclusives, but I damn well love the Xbox exclusives.

If you ever get a chance, I really suggest you play InFamous, it's developed by the group that made Sly Cooper, and it's a superhero game where you can choose to be good or evil, and Naughty Dog made Uncharted, which is even now one of the best adventure series I've ever played. Also, there's always Ratchet and Clank, Killzone, God of War and Little Big Planet. They're sure to be on the PS4, but they really shined in the PS3 era.

The PS3 era actually had the best of Sony, really. If you didn't try all 3 consoles of the last gen, it really is worth it. Especially since the games are all cheaper now.
