There's really no simple answer to that question. The Christian Bible consists of a series of small books, which were written by different people at different times.
The books written before the life of Jesus are known as the Old Testament. The Books of the old testament are also an important part of Jewish and Islamic faith, and provided a creation story, history, and laws for the Jews. The older of these are believed to have been written around 8000 years ago (6000 BC). Those books were originally written in Hebrew, and the oldest copies I know about were the Dead Sea Scrolls, but chances are good that there were older copies.
The New Testament books were added after the life of Jesus, and were written mostly by his disciples. These ones are extremely important to Christianity; and to a lesser extent, Islam. They were written in Greek about 2000 years ago. A few hundred years after Jesus' death, a group of people actually went through many "books" like the ones in the Bible, and decided which would and wouldn't get into the final copy. This Latin copy was used until the protestant reformation in the 1600's (I think...). It was translated over and over again since then.
One could say it's still a work in progress.

I'm not a religious guy, so some of that may be inaccurate. You guys can feel free to correct me on any of that.

Uhm.... the earliest books of the bible (5 books of moses) were written much later than you suggest. Probably around 2000 BC or so. Give or take a few hundred years.

Maybe there were originals written at the time that Adam, etc lived but most Christians believe that Adam and Eve were on the earth 6000 years ago (or 4000 bc) so having any written record from before that would not be in the bible.

as for the rest it is basically correct.

The likelihood of that number being true is so remote it's almost laughable.

I'm sorry, I just find it so hard to believe that in spite of all the other evidence we have in the world around us that the world is only a few thousand years old. There is more evidence for an old earth creation than a yonng earth. Taking the first chapter if Genesis literally (or even figuratively if you used "the Lord's time") doesn't make sense if you look at the universe.

Unless of course you believe that God created the universe to simply look old but not actually be old.... but that is a pretty weak argument with no supporting evidence that I've ever heard of.

In the 1st Chapter of the Book of John it says:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the word was God. He was with God in the beginning. So if you believe that this refers to the Word of God, I guess it has truly been around since the beginning of time.

Eh, we don't know who killed President Kennedy 30 years ago, what makes you think we have a full and accurate knowledge of what happened 6k thousand years ago?

The Scientific consensus is Humans are contributing greatly to global warming, when and if we find this to be false we can agree maybe the Scientific consensus doesn't mean that much.

there might have been a fairly large consensus on global warming... but that is already changing. The number of people and scientists that disagree with the man-made global warming theory is growing all the time.

We don't need a full and accurate picture of 6 thousand years ago when we can go back 10 thousand, or 50 thousand or 100 thousand or 100 million years ago and have an understanding about what happened during these time periods. Again, not full and accurate, but enough that it makes a 6 thousand year old earth laughable to me.

Not going to go down the "how old is earth" trail right now...

I just wanted to pop in and say that I do believe that some of the books of the NT were also written in Aramaic, as that was the language spoken in Judea at the time. Most of it was Greek, but not all.

I highly doubt that the first copy of the complete Bible ever written is still in existence. The region was not very kind to most paper documents and I am sure that since there were so many copies made that they did not really think of preserving the first one. Should have, but didn't.
