Some people think that ice cream is way better than frozen yogurt, but I don't think that's true at all. My mom insisted on taking me and my family to a TCBY, and I LOVED the frozen yogurt there. You wouldn't believe it's not ice cream when you taste it, it's JUST like ice cream but with a better texture, and it's WAY healthier.

I really don't taste the difference between the two.

Which is actually probably good. If your looking for a healthier alternative to ice cream, go with frozen yogurt.

There's a gas station that serves the same frozen yogurt as some of the more prominent frozen yogurt restaurants for half the price, and the topping selection is pretty good. It's really good for some of us poor college students who can't afford to pay 45 cents an ounce.

thing1 : I have tried real frozen yogurt. Like, actually putting it in the freezer and trying it like that and it's not the same as the stuff you buy at the stores. I'm sure there is a ton if added ingredients.

MoblinGardens : yeah, I mean of course there has be some catch to it, right? Just like almond milk is supposedly made with real almonds, and no cows... blah blah blah. I really don't know... Maybe one day when I am board out of my mind, I might a "paper" on it, and post it on Vizzed of the heck of it.

I mainly prefer it due to its texture, I find ice-cream a little nauseating at times.

I have never tried frozen yogurt myself, the very thought of it sounds gross to me to be honest. I know I shouldn't judge it before I try it, but I guess I am so used to eating my yogurt in a non frozen state I cant picture eating it frozen. If I had to chose going off of that I would say ice cream is better.

frozen yogurt to ice cream? i dont know, there is a more variaty of flavors in ice cream than frozen yogurt. but you are right, the yogurt is alot healthier. but to me, there isnt much difference in texture so i guess frozen yogurt is better, only because its healthier. but its just my opinion

I already have made the switch. Frozen Yogurt is better than MOST ice cream. 

Honestly I only notice a slight difference when tasting frozen yogurt and ice cream but to tell you the truth for some odd reason ice cream taste a bit better but on the other hand frozen yogurt is healthy.

I do in fact like eating frozen yogurt, mostly because of how it's tasted and what not, but yeah, I eat both ice cream and frozen yogurt here and there.

I  Frozen Yogurt!

I like both ice cream and frozen yogurt, they taste near exactly the same. The only difference I find is that frozen yogurt when served at a place is a bit softer, similar to a Frosty from Wendy's. I think it has to do with how they mix it, because Wendy's actually has a patent on how the make the Frosty since the process is different than what other companies use to make ice cream or shakes. The frozen yogurt you get at places might have a special way it is mixed too. We do have the power of the internet right here, so I will look it up and get back on this.

I know the second is a Wikipedia article, but in this case it should do fine. Notice in the Wikipedia article that it says that frozen yogurt is made with milk instead of cream. The 1st also mentions that Frozen yogurt was not introduced until 30-40 years ago, and it took extra time for manufacturers to make it more taste worthy to the public.

Yeah, they are basically almost the same thing but I just have ice cream more than I do frozen yogurt. Plus I really don't know any good frozen yogurt places that are nearby where I live, the nearest sweet frog is kind of far away. I am sure that frozen yogurt is delicious and I just haven't had any recently but it has been a while since I have had it. I like them both even though I am sure that frozen yogurt is more popular and probably healthier for you anyway, I don't really get ice cream all that much though, just a little bit for really hot days.
