TheFadedWarrior : I'm not going to tell anyone what they can or can't do.  It's just that vizzed isn't a democracy.  No one will be hired by popular demand.  The current globals do the hiring to keep the hiring process simple.

Most of the current mods (global and local), do a good job, so I don't think there's a NEED, per se.

You know what else is flattering? A cement roller.  

orionfoxgibson : If you are referring to the part where David was in the cave when Saul was there, he was using that incident to prove a point that he was and never has been against Saul. Time and time again, David knows that Saul is against him, but David did not think about going against Saul, so when there are moments when he CAN kill him, he didn't to show that he was never against him.

pray75 : Ah, you are bringing the gun law controversy. Well, if you are referring to the scenario that you suggested, then I believe it is valid to use it as self defense. There is a big difference between kill and murder, and if you look at the original language from the Ten Commandments, it is talking about murder and the Bible is against unjust killings. However, when you talk about wars, self defense, accidents, etc, these are not murders as long as they are just (for there is such a thing as unjust wars). Now for guns, I think we are to stand by the right established by the Bill of Rights to have the right to bear arms. We don't have to, but we have the right to.

I personally would like to give my 2 cents about all this. I believe Singelli when she said that is honored for having this much support for her to be a Global. I DO believe that she would fit well in that position. However, I do not believe that she is pursuing it or even want it at this time. This whole campaign was not her idea and I don't think it should be forced upon her or to the site that she should get the position. This whole campaigning is not the way to go since that is not how a global is being selected and it is putting a political aspect to it that undermines the purpose of the Global position.

Furthermore, this is not a popularity contest. Being a global is to be responsible and to be a role model of the site to the rest of the members. It is to promote the goals and purposes of the site: "a family-friendly community in which users can comfortably socialize with each other without the risk of being insulted, disrespected or attacked." This standard should be placed on people who are thinking of being global as well as those who are already in that position. Those who deserve this position should be demonstrating this, whether if it is publicly (posts, comments) or privately (PM, chats), whether if you are a normal member, trusted, or a site staff. Anyone who doesn't demonstrate this consistently should not in that position. I'll be honest, I see others campaigning for their promotion, and there are a couple who don't even demonstrate their contributions of this site nor are they a role model to the rest of the members. There are those who do demonstrate this, and as long as that person continues to stand firm in supporting what the site stands for, I have no problem of them being promoted into being a Global.

I've said what I have to say and this topic is getting annoying, so I am going to make an executive action in this forum. I am not going to allow anymore discussion of topics concerning #Singelli4Global2013. If I see another post on this matter, I will ignore the person's word count and we would not answer that question. If someone continues to talk about this topic in this forum, I will be forced to edit out your comments and you will be reported. What you do in your own profile and your profile pictures will be up to you, but I don't want to see anymore discussions of this in threads and it is important for me as a local moderator to watch over this forum.

What are your opinions on Venus Fly Traps?

I LOVE venus fly traps!  I also LOVE your question.  That's one I haven't seen around, and the individuality is awesome!

But back to the question... when I was young, my mother sometimes let my twin have a few in our room, and we fed it little bits of hamburger meat.  I think they are beautiful plants, and I think they are totally cool!  I mean, talk about an attribute of God's design!  Have you ever read on how delicate its mechanics are?

Also, have you studied/ seen any of its relatives?  I think most of them are pretty, except for the ... drat.  I can't remember what it's called!  It starts with an R and is about as large as a stove.  The tropical plant has five rounded 'petals', and a deep whole in the middle that supposedly stinks of rotten meat.

What is your thought structure/procedures when you guy's make your reviews and what inspires you in your everyday life's?

This seems like a no-brainer to me. Obviously I would pick C. I just need to put it in a very isolated area. Everything else forces me to interact with it, but not the cactus.

If it is possible, could I speak to you guys about a few things regarding my beliefs sometime on Sunday? I feel like I am a fake Christian, but I call myself an agnostic.

I'm going to have to disagree with play4fun here.    I wouldn't have to interact with the rock, either. Maybe I don't -want- to talk to the rock.   (Why would you throw a rock at your head, anyways?  Any volunteers on that one?)

I also like choice E, and I'm not sure why play4fun didn't choose that, unless he wanted the novelty of a tye-die, sword-clad cactus. XD

I'd probably go with E just because I don't want to risk anyone getting hurt, but if I HAD to pick, I'd go with the rock or the cactus.  That would all depend on if the rock had feelings or not.  Would it mind me never talking to it?  haha.

marcus047 :  When I make a review, I try to pick some game that either had an interesting feature or that I really enjoyed.  (Interesting features, after all, don't have to be good!)  I play the game for awhile to get an overall 'feel' for the game, and when I am happy with my understanding of it, I go back and start from the beginning, taking notes on the graphics only.  Usually I'm reviewing MAME games because that's what I work with the most, and MAME games always have a sense of repetition.  Thus, I do this long enough to include most everything.  I take notes on colors, graphics, and appeal of the art.

Then, get this.... I start the game AGAIN, but this time I take note of all the sounds.  That usually doesn't take long at all, and once I'm done with that, I might go watch a youtube video of the game.  I do this to see if I've missed any 'secrets', or if commentators made any observations that I didn't think of.

From there, I piece it all together!  Usually though, I think my reviews get a little dull.  They 'ramble' quite a bit and even though they are structured, I can imagine that reading them gets quite old. I want to come up with a new way to write my reviews, but I'm really not all that creative.  Since I don't have time to write any now, I'm trying to think of ways to improve so that I can be better when I start back up in June.

As for what inspires me?  Man... -tons- of thing inspire me.  Mainly though, seeing God in everything inspires me.  There are certain times where I might just be sitting somewhere and see some evidence of God, and it overwhelms me with a sense of awe and a desire to do better and be better.

Mainly because I know the people here, and I have a great amount of respect for David and tRIUNE.  Any chance I could take to help them, I'd love to take.  I could give a long answer, but I really have to rush to work now.
