I recently did a research project for my history class I have this semester and it required you to research your family history. I already knew where I can from, which was Scotland and then we immigrated to Canada around 1802 and settled in Manitoba. This makes me curious as to where all of your family originated from. Did they immigrant like mine or are you still living where your ancestors live?

My ancestors originate from Scotland and Ireland, hence me being sixty percent Scottish and forty percent Irish.
But really that is all I know it really wasn't a thing I was interested in finding out really.

My father's side is almost completely German, and my mother's side has some Italian, English, and a little bit of Scottish (I'm pretty sure that's right). The English part came from a man (a "John") who sailed to America on one of the later voyages of the Mayflower. I'm pretty sure the other heritages came from the immigration of the early 20th century.

A vast majority of mine are from Ireland, I am Irish by blood but now live in the UK. I have been told I have some long passed relatives that came from Italy, but how true that is I couldn't tell you. Not without the proper research anyway.

My mom's side of the family is a huge jumbled mess from which no one knows where they really came from, but I think one of my great-grandparents immigrated from Ireland.

depends on what side of the family you are talking about. my dads side of the family came from Germany, my great grandfather came across the sea to the US. my moms side is either from spain, mexico, or south america (im not sure which) but i havent researched much of that side, which is weird cuz my moms side is much funner than my dads side while my parents are opposite of that!

I'll just say the most prominent to avoid confusion.

Russia, Poland, Ireland, Native America, and Germany are most prevalent in my case, though none is more visible than my Russian heritage, except maybe my German heritage. Really, both of them are extremely pronounced.
