Lord, there is a big reason why we remember today.

The world may see it as some type of symbolic sacrifice,

We see it as something more real.

If we are truly honest, mankind's sins are the cause of the universe's problem.

If I am truly honest, I am the wretch, the rebel, the sinner, the filth.

We are insignificant compared to You,

and You could have left us to our own destruction.

We are evil compared to You,

and You could have rightly judged us for what we deserve.

Yet You, who is not guilty of anything,

voluntarily took the consequences of our big problem.

Your pain, Your shame, Your loneliness, and Your mockeries,

should have been on me.

Because of what You did, I am made new.

Because of what You did, I stand forgiven.

Because of what You did, I am truly free.

Because of what You did, You are worthy of praise.

This is the reason why we remember today.

This is the reason today is The Good Friday.
