Okay, so most people just go with the strong Pokémon. to be sincere, i dont really pick Pokémon that i will use by these types above, i pick the ones i like. for example, on the hoenn region my Pokémon team is normally: skitty, marill, taillow, sableye, torchic, roselia. as you can see, its a pretty diverse team with not just one of the options above.

I always pick strong Pokemon, mostly ones with high special attack or attack, depending on what they can learn. But cool Pokemon can make it on my team as well. Umbreon isn't the strongest, but he's so cool, I can't take him off. And early in the game, I might get a cute Pokemon, but there's nothing better than beating a Pokemon that's a higher level than you. Strong Pokemon are the best!

Strong Pokemon of course! That's why I have a Chansey with over 600 HP and a Level 100 Dragonite on Red, because they can put up a fight. And Staraptor, my 2nd favorite pokemon, was really strong!

A level 100 rattata could actually barrel down some of the tougher opponents depending on its stats.
Weak means nothing to me. Weak Pokémon can be cute, tough, cool, and even strong if they put their minds to it!
