i was thinking that vizzed could have EXP packs in the item shop and when you buy them you get EXP. it couldalso stop some spamming because some people just want to level up. there could be 3 different EXP packs with different amount of EXP.

what do you think about this?

Honestly, it would be completely pointless in my opinion.  Not only will the buyers have to had been active or donated to get the Viz in the first place, but being able to buy xp points would completely destroy the purpose of them.  XP points allow us to see who is more active and who is less active.  If people could just 'buy' xp, it wouldn't mean a thing any more, and nothing could be determined by seeing how much xp someone has.

Besides that, it would discourage activity.  When the battle arena IS opened, people with higher xp will be able to do more (in that their ability to attack and defend will be higher since their stats are higher), and this might encourage people to be more active because they want to be able to battle more effectively.  If people can buy xp points, they won't need to be active to more successful in the battle arena.

And before you mention it, I wouldn't even like the idea if the amounts were small.  lol

Hmm...Both Singelli and mrfe are right. I think it could be kind of a cycle. A user donates to the site. The user gets Viz. the user uses the Viz to buy an xP pack. Also, the XP pack should give out a certain amount of XP due to a person's level. For example, buying a 500 XP pack could level up a low-level user 3+ levels. That wouldn't be fair, now, would it? Or, the person could buy any amount of viz! Ex. Every 1 exp point costs 10 Viz.

the problem with leveling up is that the levels are meaningless. All they really represent is how long you have been a member and how many posts you have made. Unless there is some sort of combat system that takes levels into account then gaining levels is meaningless.

That sounds like a cool idea to me. I noticed it can take awhile to level up. As long as they're not cheap. It would have to be very costly, like the Rare Candy on Pokemon. Then again, this may make the forum die then. Why post to level up when you can just buy EXP packs?

I personally agree that it would kind of destroy the idea of the board but, in moderation it wouldn't be a bad idea.

I think this is a good idea, but like geeo said... he has been talking about it since before I joined Vizzed over two years ago. I don't think it will happen. I think the battle arena might happen in 4 or 5 years, when everything on the site is the way he wants it. That is a big project, and is going to take awhile.
