I haven't actually played this game yet, but if you want a really weird free game, Yume Nikki will definitely serve that purpose perfectly.

A good free game that I have actually played myself is Copy Kitty, it's like Kirby on steroids.  If you play it, I would recommend setting up a controller with joy2key or xpadder because it is really hard, especially if you're trying to use your keyboard.

Check out Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch.

It takes all of the classic Mega Man games, and turns them into a super fun, action packed, fast paced Quake style first person shooter.
(It even says frags instead of kills!) It may be a bit tough to work out the multiplayer, but anyone who knows the basics about file paths should be able to get it done.

I think some good free-to-play games are War Thunder. Which is a dog fighting game based upon planes from World War II. Another game is called World Of Tanks. This game is based upon World War I and II tanks. These are very good games but that is just my opinion. The game contains a lot of parts from half life 1 and transfers them into the half-life 2 engine.
It also has great dialogue and levels.

Toribash-Its a great game that involves skills and strategy.
This game is Multiplayer too so it never gets boring.

Minecraft Cracked is the same awesome Minecraft, only free. It's definitely a must if you haven't ever played Minecraft before since it shows you why people love the real game so much. 

I play the World of Warcraft free version and on free servers and it's been great. I've spent full nights with friends solving quests and leveling up my character. I understand why the game is considered so addictive.

Another game I have recently tried out is Lord of the Rings online free. It's just as good as World of Warcraft if not better. The graphics are definitely better and other parts are more realistic such as falling.

I got runescape 2 days ago and it is a pretty decent MMORPG regarding it being free. Everything is good apart from the walking around which is a little tedious after a while and the graphics are only a little better than that of a PSX.

The Epic Battle Fantasy series.It is an awesome turn based RPG found on ArmorGames and Kongregate.Its free to play however you can also buy the premium version of the game for slightly more content,and it will be coming out on steam soon for about 5$

WIZARDRY ONLINE
Old school RPG rules in an MMORPG World with the possibility of Perma-Death.  Think Dark Souls with Advanced Dungeons and Dragons rules.  It is a remarkable game.  Beautiful 3D graphics and completely free.

Anyways, here is another addition by me to this list:

Wing Commander - Awesome old-school (2.5D?) space combat sim. This version contains enhanced music and is the version that came with The Kilrathi Saga and a 2000 PC Gamer issue disc. Over all it is a awesome game, and if you want more Wing Commander I would go to GOG.com and get some Wing Commander games. I recommend Wing Commander IV, which I have all versions of. (The DVD version, the CD version, and the PS1 version.)

Daymare Town and  the Submachine series are really good games.

Daymare Town is about a nightmare during the day... Kind of.

Submachine is a game about a time and space bending machine. You ,first, research and learn of the machines darkened history. Then, you find the machine and enter a huge variety of codes into it. Those codes transport you to many different places.

I just described it very poorly, Actually playing the game is really worth it. If your into that kind of stuff it is extremely interesting!

A good free game I would suggest would be Blacklight Retribution. Its a futuristic space type fps. If anyone has played Planetside 2 which is another game I reccomend then you,all love this. The graphics are great and the game play is tremendously fun. They are also pretty good at not forcing you too but the extra and better stuff.

Digimon Masters Online is a good one, especially if you're a Digimon fan. As the name suggests it's an MMORPG based around the Digimon series. It's primarily based around the fifth season of the anime (Savers, or Data Squad dubbed) but it does have many aspects of Adventure, 02, Tamers, & Frontier. I think it's a cool game.

Alliance of Valiant Arms (A.V.A) is a frew MMOFPS very funny and addicitve for both newbies and veterans! It has a VERY VERY wide range of weapons that can be bought with € (standard game currency), AP (Aeria Points, premium game currency that can be optained with real money, completing FREE surveys or viewing videos), with Blue or Red tickets (tickets won from capsules, from the game's lottery).
Every weapon can be fully cuatomizable and can be sold for money!
The game has three soldier classes: Pointman (uses SMGs/shotguns), Rifleman (uses Assault Rifles) and Sniper (uses, of course, Sniper Rifles).
Weapons can be picked up from dead teammates/enemies as well! Very useful if you are saving for a specific gun! It is like "test before buying" feature!
You can buy your character armor, suits, items, equipment and more!
This game is NOT a pay 2 win one!! Every premium item can be bought with game's standard money if you don't have/don't want to spend mony in a game!

This game plays a lot like Monster Hunter to me.  It's real-time and while there is skill cool-down the time is a matter of seconds and does not hinder game play. You aim directly with the mouse and can use a game controller if you want.  There is a strong community and a lot of good PvP as well as a standalone PvE story.  The only downside is there is a massive download to play it, 25 GB. I'd say look up some game play trailers first before downloading.

This is a mecha-fps, I've heard a lot of good things about it but haven't had the chance to try it yet. If anyone has, is it worth playing?
Deep Sleep/Deeper Sleep
Two point and click horror games made by scriptwelder. It essentially has the character trapped in his own dream and trying to escape.  It's one of the most heart-pounding games I've ever played

A good free game is counter strike. I play everyday counter strike. Another free and good game is Digimon. I love to play it.

 For me a good free game is megaman, batman and spiderman.Are simple games but good games.But the best free game for me is Lord of the rings.
