Before when you went to edit your post, your layout would get removed. This has now been fixed.

Note to Mods : This wasn't the case for us since we are allowed to edit the layouts of individual posts.

Sweet. It works. But what if you edit your post because you have a bad layout, and you want to get rid of it? Do you have a choice of getting rid of it? It probably isn't a big deal, but that has happened to me.

patar4097 : You have to remove your layout from the layout editor page. If a few specific posts have a bad layout, it's best to contact a moderator.

The reason we originally made it so users couldn't edit their layouts is because a few users in the past have abused that privilege. We want all layouts to be monitored and letting users add or edit layouts to any post makes it harder for the moderators to monitor layouts, remove layouts and ban specific users from making layouts.

Glad to hear it. I know some people called that a feature, and there were workarounds to keep your layout after editing, but I never saw a reason to keep things that way. Definitely a cool fix.

I have a Chrono Trigger layout that I made specifically for the Chrono Trigger walkthrough I'm working on. My current/active layout is the one you see here and I don't change anything when I go back to edit the walkthrough. The CT layout persists through every edit.

All it really does is pull up the code that was placed there by the layout. You can even modify it if you had a need to.

Thanks for fixing this. I had noticed this was an issue but since I don't ever use a layout...it thought maybe it was a one or two time "bug"

That being said, I wish that some of these people that did "Game Reviews" would use either an easier to read layout, or if there was an option to disable it for the review. Sometimes it just makes them annoying to read.
